Arthur River

The first two photos were taken with my phone, remainder with the camera on the wrong setting which I didn't realize until we had left Arthur River.

Arthur River is on the West Coast of Tasmania, Australia and it's a pretty place with about 120 or so people.  It's a quiet little town and many people have shacks there.
One can go on a boat trip down the river for the beautiful views of the wilderness and go walking and have lunch as the trip is a guided tour.
The first photo is the mooring for the Cruise boat.
Second photo is the bridge at Arthur River with the river leading to the sea, the Southern Ocean where the logs from the trees used to flow up the river to the sea.

  3. Interesting cloud formations - the last one looks as if it just might rain, but I suspect that it didn't.

    1. LOL EC. Flow down the river, flow up the river - doesn't matter the water gets there anyway to the sea :)

  6. The red in the rocks in the last couple of photos is interesting. I wonder what makes the colour.

  7. I love the two contrasting photos - the little red ponton and the majestic bridge. Lucky river! It has it all: people, boats, bridge, beautiful sky above.

  9. Thanks for reminding us of our boat trip on the Arthur River. It was a great day. Lovely scenes. I was amazed at all the logs in the river and washed up on the beach.

  12. Is there a photographer alive who has not taken a whole bunch of pictures with the camera on the wrong setting? Or left home without a memory card?

    1. I'm sure many do just as you say, though I've never left home without a memory card as yet.
