Plants in autumn

A few plants growing in our garden and a tree across the road in autumn.

Had two shots on different days taking this miniature daffodils that has just begun to bloom here at home in autumn.  The photo was taken on a windy day so therefore a bit blurred because I didn't used the correct setting, well I at least tried to but didn't pull it off.

Across the road, the Crab Apple in autumn leaves.

The Launceston City Council planted this tree along with several different species of trees on the natures strips, many died due to lack of water (not the households responsibility), many people pulled the trees out as they were not wanted on their nature strip.

Lunch, Restaurant not that far!

Villarett Gardens is a lovely drive from Launceston taking about 45 minutes.
The food is well worth the drive.  The Restaurant is licensed and can cater for 80 people.
Accommodation is available too.
The garden is on 4 hectares and hilly.

Brandy Snap with Raspberries was the sweet I chose. Delicious.

Can't recall what this sweet was called but do know 'Toffee' something - look like Pineapple Tart - maybe.

About the Garden

We are redoing part of our garden out the front of the house.  Planted little lavenders which will make a lovely boarder.  More plants will be planted behind them eventually of a different kind.

              The above plant is called a Plumbago, and has now been cut back.

It's hard to believe!

We haven't had rain for a long time, but then it is summer which will end soon. The garden is just kept alive with water and we don't water the lawns.  Water can be costly, plus the lawns will soon green up after a good rain, whenever that will be.

We bought some 'pea straw' for $5.00 AUD a bale recently to put on the garden, it helps keep the weeds down and moisture in. First we have to put some good nourishment in the soil of the garden.
