Happy Easter

It only seems like a week or two that it was Christmas, now it's Easter time.

I wish you all a Happy Easter and a safe one.

A poem by Enid Blyton.

A happy Easter, birds and bees,
A happy Easter, laughing trees,
A happy Easter, daffodils,
Whose golden cups the sunshine fills.
A happy Easter, lambkins white,
And little rabbits, skipping light,
A happy Easter, skylark gay,
And Cuckoo speeding on your way.
A happy Easter, one and all,
Whether you are big or small,
Little snail or mighty tree,
A happy Eastertide from me!

Home again

We are home again after another lovely holiday of 18 days in Huon Valley Caravan Park, Tasmania where we spent Easter. Weather was beautiful but nights were a big chilly.
Lots of activities for the children, the adults were kept busy also.
The Easter Bunny arrived in a Helicopter with Easter eggs for the children.
There was a Duck Race in the river and also a Ticket to be found in the sand, the finder of that ticket won a bike - there were a couple of bikes to be won along with Hampers.
The photos I'm showing are someone else's.

Can just see the eggs falling out of the sack onto the ground, there were 1,000 Easter eggs.

Children and adults collecting the eggs

The duck race in the river, each person who participated was given a number that corresponded with a duck and the first duck to reach the finishing line won a bike.

The Owners of the Huon Valley Caravan Park and a lady who won a hamper in the duck race.
The young girl was the winner of the duck race and her prize was a bike.

In the above photo the people are looking for a ticket hidden in the sand, some resting though - the ticket was found by the man in the black top below, he's with his son 'the winner' of a bike, with the park owner.

Easter in Huonville, Tasmania

Easter Sunday the Easter Bunny with a large bag filled with Easter Eggs arrived via a Helicopter.  The Bunny scattered the Easter Eggs in a large area and children with small containers scooped them all up.
Then after that there was an Easter Egg hunt within the Caravan  Park then followed in the afternoon a hunt for a 'ticket' which was deep in the sand by the river, the finder of that ticket won a Hamper of meat, fruit and veggies along with more Easter Eggs.
Where our caravan was situated we had a marvelous view of people digging in the sand whilst we just sat and watched.
The last photo is of children just playing.

Richmond, Tasmania

These photos were taken at Easter time when we travelled with our eldest son, his wife and their two little ones to Richmond.
We stayed for 4 nights and yes I cooked a baked dinner in our caravan for all of us on Easter Sunday.

The below photos were taken at the Richmond Caravan Park where we were the only two families in this particular area of the park..

Eldest son has a different caravan to us therefore no shower or loo.   Instead of taking themselves off to the showers and loos provided in the park he decided to bring his own.  They also have a small tent that house the both, handy when you have little ones.

In the photo my husband, eldest son and wife are trying to work out the gas hot water - they did so, all was good with his family having lovely hot showers.
This son is a qualified Horticulturist/Landscaper and has his own business using his own name for several years now.

Their little dog, a Poochon named Summer.  Summer came from Melbourne last year as a puppy.  So she flew into Tasmania :) and belongs to the little ones.
Summer has a delightful temperament and never barks.

Off again and Autumn

Well we are off again this week to southern Tasmania for another holiday, just over 1 week.  Eldest son wife, and their two little ones are coming too.
This is my first ever Easter away from home!

Have a Happy Easter and will see you all when we return.

1st and 2nd photos was taken last week at Hollybank a nature reserve just out of Launceston.
Last photo is a tree in David St in Launceston not far from home.

Wouldn't you know it, my laptop died, so a new one to come soon as I'm in no rush.

Happy Easter

Have been watching 'Bates Motel' based loosely on the Psycho movie of Alfred Hitchcock's which he directed and produced in 1960.
Bates Motel is on Netflix (Australia) but only 3 seasons so far, it's a drama/thriller indeed but I wouldn't call it a horror TV Series.  It's ever so amazing how Norman Bates mind works with the acting of Freddie Highmore showing it off extremely well.
Max Thieriot, I like him :) plays Norman Bates's half brother Dylan Massett in the Series.

On Tuesday last we had an early Dr.'s appointment to have the Flu Injection but only last years model was available, we skipped that one will wait for new one to arrive.

I often wonder why some people are dumb or indeed don't listen.
My husband told his friend not to phone on Tuesday morning at a certain time as we both would be in the Dr's surgery, husband had turned his phone off but I kept mine on and guess what! my phone rang whilst in the surgery, it was our friend who never phones me.  My phone doesn't ring often and I do turn it off if going to a funeral, or a wedding.

For lunch we decided to head up the Tamar River to Beauty Point about a 50 minute drive away, pulled into parking provided for the Beauty Point Riverfront Hotel and had one of the best lunches we've had in a long time. It was actually nicer than what we've eaten at so called elite restaurants here in the city in the evening..
The view was wonderful, photo below.

Good Friday

Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday, and may coincide with the Jewish observance of Passover. It is also known as Holy Friday, Great FridayBlack Friday or Easter Friday, though the last term properly refers to the Friday in Easter week.

All shops are closed on Good Friday but I'm sure there would be one open somewhere in Tasmania.

What do you do on Good Friday?

Happy Easter 2015

Have a lovely Easter to each and everyone who passes my way and for those that don't, may they also have a great Easter remembering what Easter is about - I always remember the Religious side, unfortunately there are those that don't.

Here in Australia and on the island where I live many people go away to have a holiday, this being called Easter Holidays.  Good Friday is the only day all the shops are shut, but I expect I could find 'one or two' open.

Two of our grandchildren have birthdays this Easter, one on Saturday, the other on Sunday...new age will be 7 and 3 years of age.  Growing up fast.

I like making graphics when I get time and I made this one before the painting commenced.

I have two first names as you might know.  I changed to my middle name when I was 7 years old. All my cousins call me by my first name, and the remainder call me by my second first name.....just thought I would mention that as it's confusing for some at times, but not for me.  I answer to both :)

Eggs and Bunnies on display!

Thought that I would like to share some Easter Eggs in the local supermaket - just a small array taken with my phone.
Then I remembered that Cadbury's are going to take a row off the Dairy Milk Chocolate and no doubt charge the same price.
We have a Cadbury's Factory down south, in the Hobart Area.
Founded by John Cadbury in 1824 in Birmingham in the UK.
Not a great lover of chocolate, but once in awhile I get a fad for it and it's always Caramelo or Cherry Ripes.
Link to the Australian site, and you will find the history plus much more.

This photo is borrowed, have no idea how old it is, plus I have no idea who took the snap.
