Marrawah is on the North West Coast of Tasmania, Australia with a small population.
At Green Point where these photos were taken there are lot of Aboriginal Rocks with carvings scattered all over the area if one wants to go exploring to find them. Camping is permitted at Green Point well back from the beach which is excellent for surfing, the sea is the Southern Ocean.  There appears to be no land until you reach Argentina.

Turners Beach, Tasmania

Finished Easter Holiday down at Huonville so back to Holiday in March along the North West Coast of Tasmania, Australia.  The sunset photo was taken back in March 1999 - yes, a very long time ago and I presume the camera would have been my second one purchased.

The photos other than the sunset are of the Forth River next to Turners Beach, Tasmania, Australia.

The Sea

More of Swansea and the sea which is opposite the Caravan Park and whilst staying there for nearly a week the sea was rough and could be heard inside the caravan especially at night time.  We had to cut our holiday short and come home to a friends funeral which was Private and we were the only friends invited.

These photos were taken with the Camera. Not wrapped in the colour either but it's due to the light and time of day these photos were taken.

Swansea, Tasmania

After Richmond we headed to Swansea on the East Coast of Tasmania.  These photos were taken with my phone next time I will show ones with my camera.  I personally prefer a little softer colours where as the phones photos are sometimes harsher.

Swans in Richmond.

A few swans at Richmond Tasmania, Australia.
These swans were rather tame.  The bridge is still used and was built by convicts in 1823.
The big tree in the last photo turns colour in the autumn, we were there this autumn but too early for the colour change.

Richmond, Tasmania

After 2 weeks in Huonville we headed to Richmond see map for two nights.  The town of Richmond is not that far from our Capital City Hobart.

Photos show the  Richmond Bridge and the view from the top of it to each side. Bridge built about 1823 to 1825.

The rain

It did rain for a few days and nights whilst at the Caravan Park and caused a bit of a flood more so up stream.  The Huon Jet, the boat in the photo was able to come around the corner of the Huon River into the river that flows at the base of the caravan park.  The sand disappeared as the tide came up, we never had to move our caravan and certainly not wet under foot as we were parked on a concrete slab.

Just a little help please

Some black swans at the Caravan Park.

A question for those that visit my blog - which is:
Do any of you get a red box showing on my blog when you visit?
Please leave a comment below.  Thank you.

Boats on the Huon River

One of the days we travelled down the Huon River just for a drive and I didn't take my Camera so used my phone to take these shots.

The Huon River, Tasmania

The Huon River is a perennial river located in the south west and south east regions of Tasmania, Australia.  It's 174 km  (108 mile) in length, it's the 5th longest river in the State. The river empties into the D'Entrecasteaux Channel before flowing into the Tasman Sea.
We followed the Huon River then it came to the D'Entrecasteaux Channel where you catch the boat to Bruny Island one of Tasmania's Islands.
At Kettering is a Marina and just *north of Kettering in Oyster Cove that the last Tasmanian Aboriginal settlement was established in 1847.  Aborigines from all over Van Diemen's Land had been rounded up some years earlier and isolated on Flinders Island (up north of Tasmania and also one of Tasmania's Island).  In 1855 there were only 16 people left and by 1869 only Truganini remained.  She died in 1876 but it was not until 1976 that her ashes were thrown in the winds on the D'Entrecasteaux Channel.*
