The Caravan Park, Huonville

Children Kayaking on the river also they swim there as do some adults.  The little boy in the second photo was trying desperately to undo the latch on his helmet but couldn't, next thing he's standing in front of me asking if I could undo it for him.  I managed :)

The 3rd photo is one from near the gate of a small part of the caravan park in Huonville, Tasmania, the caravans go all the way down towards those trees in the distance and to the right.
There is a boom gate that requires a password to enter and exit.

  1. What a beautiful place to camp! So cute that the little guy asked you for help when he couldn’t unlatch his bike helmet. And good boy for wearing one! We enjoyed three days of camping this week also.

    1. I must say Cynthia all the children and adults who rode bikes there wore helmets, it's one of the rules.
So lovely you could go and do some camping, hoping you can do more.

  2. What an attractive park to camp. Lots you can do there. Nice the little boy asked for help and you helped him. In today's world, that was nice to do. Some people would ignore him or tell him go back where he belongs.

I can remember being stuck in a bike helmet (frosty fingers) and wish that I had someone like you to help me...

    1. I'm sure all the children had a great time there, didn't hear any fighting either. We had a good spot to view all their antics.

  5. Swimming in April in cold water is very brave. The poplars must look impressive in their autumn colours.

    1. Andrew, the weather was warm as in 29degC one day, other days 25C no swimming on the 20degC days but for an odd person or two.
I should imagine the trees would be nearly bare now, they had turned their colour when we were there.

    1. Always there to help if needed Beatrice. Several children said 'hello' as they passed our way and that was nice.

  8. There is something quite touching when a small child knows that he can trust you to help him. Well done!

    1. That's true because not every child in need of help would come to a stranger. Thank you.

    1. Thanks.
It's called a Caravan Park because it's where Caravans can go to park/stay with power and water or with no power or water - a place where is security with fences, a caretaker/owner there 24 hours of the day every day.
