Hervey Bay Beaches, Queensland.

First photo from Gatakers Bay as I forgot to add it last time.

On the way back to the caravan park in winter 2019 we came across the Ferris wheel with it's colourful lights just turned on.  It was school holidays so hence the Ferris wheel.

Below the beach in front of the caravan park looking both ways. So a few steps from the caravan to the beach.

It appears that some of my photos have gone from the blog - they might reappear, well hopefully they do as I didn't remove them.  Must be blogspot-Google gone mad!...lol

Snow

At home - from the home front it snowed on a few mountains Sunday night/morning on the Island.  The photo below is of Mt. Barrow a low mountain not that far from home, we can see it out the family room window and at the front of the house looking east. It has to be cold for snow to fall on this mountain, many years snow doesn't fall on Mt. Barrow.
It's 1,406 meters above sea level, 22 klms from Launceston. The rock is classed as Jurassic.

From Friday's post we move forward to some more scenery at Elliot Heads in Queensland.

Back at the caravan park in Bundaberg the bird came to visit. 

Bargara, Queensland

After being in Mackay in the Tropics we headed south to Bundaberg in Queensland last year in Winter.  This is one place we hadn't visited ever, though we had been to Bundaberg before 2 times.

Bargara is coastal town in Queensland not that far from Bundaberg.  The town of Bargara is about 384 klm north of Brisbane the capital of Queensland.  Bundaberg and Bargara are good sugar growing areas and of course there is Bundaberg Rum made in Bundaberg which is well know throughout Australia.

Hideaway Bay, Queensland

Be safe and keep well!

The ferry we sail on to get to mainland Australia has now stopped bringing people in caravans and motor homes entering the State of Tasmania, but freight is still permitted. Our Premier announced that yesterday morning.  Tasmanians are permitted to return home but must quarantine for 14 days.

Hideaway Bay is a small town in the Whitsunday Region and not far from Proserpine where we stayed in the caravan park.

The view at Hideaway Bay is a beautiful place with most of the houses or shacks looking over the sea.  It's a quiet place with just over 200 people and no shops.  Not far to travel to some though. Part of the view and some houses of the area.

Continuing Winter holiday 2019.

Returned from our Tasmanian holiday, photos of it I will show later in the year as I'm wishing to finish the holiday in winter last year first.

Do hope everyone is keeping well in this trying time of the virus.

At present the Island is shut down, freight from the mainland is permitted in and Tasmanians returning home from abroad plus other States of Australia to self isolate for 14 days upon return to Tasmania.

The two boats below well, the men were waiting for the tide to come in, we were there for a fair while sitting under the trees, watching.

Did a little research on why it was called Dingo Beach and couldn't find anything.

Dingo Beach is not that far from Proserpine on the right of the map.
