Do hope everyone is keeping well in this trying time of the virus.
At present the Island is shut down, freight from the mainland is permitted in and Tasmanians returning home from abroad plus other States of Australia to self isolate for 14 days upon return to Tasmania.
Below photos were taken at Dingo Beach east of Proserpine in Queensland.
The two boats below well, the men were waiting for the tide to come in, we were there for a fair while sitting under the trees, watching.
Photos are of the area.
Did a little research on why it was called Dingo Beach and couldn't find anything.
Dingo Beach is not that far from Proserpine on the right of the map.
The beach photos are great. Feel like strolling along the beach and go for a dip.
ReplyDeleteThanks Catarina. Would be good if we all could go for a walk on that beach or any beach.
DeleteAhora no se puede pasear por estos bellos lugares, ahora permanecemos en casa, a esperar que esta pesadilla acabe.
ReplyDeleteBesos
No we can't walk along any beach at the moment. Let's hope it all ends soon.
DeleteStay safe.
Must be a great hardship for a state so dependent on tourism.
ReplyDeleteFor any place David that relies on tourism, I'm sure we will all get by even though jobs are lost now, makes it hard on those people. Stay safe.

i has never heard of the jelly fish barriers. What a great idea! Stay safe and well.
ReplyDeleteA necessity in that area and many others to be safe in the sea, many sea creatures to cause death or bad reactions.
DeleteBe safe.
So beautiful...and cute little kanga! 😊
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice kangaroo, wasn't expecting to see one there so had to snap it quickly before it hopped off.

DeleteYou stay safe and well too.
I guess there were once dingoes. The enclosed area doesn't look deep enough for swimming, well not when the tide is out.
ReplyDeleteI guess that's the reason for the name.
DeleteWell the sea floor goes down rather steep there in that particular area.
Awesome photos
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Anne.
DeleteStay safe.
I lived and worked in Collinsville for a couple of so years...many of the Collinsville people...the coal miners had beach huts/cabins at Dingo Beach. It was a very popular area with them.
ReplyDeleteInteresting Lee. I did read that Dingo Beach was once busy, but not now as not many live there.
DeleteGlad you're back. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill.
