View of some of the sea from the Esplanade, not pleasant, there is life there in the mud and water.

Walking along we heard a noise of the helicopter.

The Waterfront, Cairns

The Esplanade in Cairns is rather lovely except when the tide is out, then it's not the best.

Fortunately we chose the correct week to take a stroll where the 'free' pool is because after our walk the next day the pool was closed for repairs and maintenance for about 3 weeks.  A good time to do repairs in the winter.
