Fortunately we chose the correct week to take a stroll where the 'free' pool is because after our walk the next day the pool was closed for repairs and maintenance for about 3 weeks. A good time to do repairs in the winter.
A bit dark but you get the idea!
The pool in winter
Nice looking pool!
ReplyDeleteWe are having here in Espoo - 20 degrees...
wow your winter is amazing and warm
ReplyDeleteIt is in the top end of the country
DeleteThe temperature must be warm, to be the pool with so much atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteKisses
It was warm and is warm in the winter in Cairns - it's in the tropics so always warm - just two season, wet and dry, wet being in the summer and dry in the winter.
DeleteNice photos, I of course would like to get to Cains one day and who knows one day I might
ReplyDeleteYou might Jo-Anne.
DeleteLove those fishies...
ReplyDeleteThey are well designed and something different.
DeleteThe pool looks huge. I like the water jet and the fish sculptures, and it is good to have the poles in the water to break the expanse of water.
ReplyDeleteThe area of the pool is vast and I don't know where everyone parks their vehicles either! There are places but a good walk away.
DeleteI'd like a warm pool right now, we expect snow tomorrow
ReplyDeleteOh gosh Adam - wonder did you get your snow!
DeleteThank you for the great look around.
ReplyDeleteContinue having a great day - We all win
We will all win :)
DeleteLovely to see a pool in use in the winter and such a pretty pool too.
ReplyDeleteI'd like a dip in a pool right now, but it's far too hot to step outside to get to one.
Oh yes, it's a bit hot here too but I know it's certainly been a scorcher over your way and it's still continuing.
DeleteLovely holidays.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
DeleteNice to see water pool, because we have cold and snow.. hih.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as you had a wonderful day.
I see your lovely snow photos, they help me to keep cool in this heat.
Deletei really like the esplanade in cairns. thank you for sharing these lovely photos. i hope all is well with you
ReplyDeleteYes thanks, all is ok over here - you keep cool.
DeleteLovely to see these sunny photographs and blue skies.
ReplyDeleteThose pools are so popular!
Hope your weekend is going well.
All the best Jan
Lovely weekend so far, thanks Jan - warm though.
DeleteHappy new year!
ReplyDeleteThanks and the same to you.
DeleteOMGosh. That is gorgeous. I love the fish statues:)
ReplyDeleteHave a great one.
Pleased you like that pool and fish - thanks.
DeleteThe fish are wonderful. I'm wondering if they spray water. It looks as if they might!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen those fish spray water but they could do..
DeleteI recall enormous tides in Cairns - the sea seemed to go back for 100s of metres in low tide.
ReplyDeleteOh yes you are correct on that, goes a long way back.
DeleteLots of water around up that way at present...particularly around Innisfail, Silkwood - all through the Johnstone Shire.
ReplyDeleteOh yes so I believe, saw some photos of water everywhere but it is the wet season.
