Cairns Central, Queensland

Whilst in Cairns the second week of our winter holiday last year my mobile phone decided to give up the ghost.  I went and got a new one, Samsung Galaxy Edge 7.... these photos were the first ones I took with the camera in the phone.

    G'day! Popped over from Sandra's Blog. Your phone camera takes great pictures. Beautiful mall and not crowded. Either everyone spent their money on Christmas gifts or it's a beautiful day and everyone is at the beach. Oo Roo!

    The images that picks up that phone, are very good,

      Sometimes I think some of the photos are too sharp, but on the whole I'm happy with them.

    Ha, cameras are topical today. Many years ago when I bought perhaps my second mobile phone, I asked the salesperson a question about the camera. He replied, if you are concerned about a camera, you better buy one and not a mobile phone. Now, hmmm, your photos are damned good and I am not sure buying a point and shoot camera is very wise now.

      The phone cameras a getting better and I can see the time when point and shoot cameras won't necessarily be needed.

    good choice with the phone. i've always like samsung. these photos made me want to visit cairns. we caught the steam train just near cairns central i think. it was great. hope you are well Margaret.

    I think that's the brand that has had a huge recall over here. Something about them exploding or smoking when charging. Quite dangerous.

      That is the Galaxy Note 7, they have recalled all of them, and I think you can't buy them anymore.. so a different phone from mine.

    liked the all wonderful photos and loved the result from your phone camera !
    i too take photos through galaxy J 5 that i bought one year ago and still going great but i want real camera to have better result.

    That's a great looking shopping centre. I've heard the Galaxy 7's are banned from planes because of the catching fire thing. Good thing you're driving home :)

      Thanks, the phone photos surprised me, didn't think they could be so good. Some things taken with it are not real good, just a snap is ok.
