It did rain for a few days and nights whilst at the Caravan Park and caused a bit of a flood more so up stream. The Huon Jet, the boat in the photo was able to come around the corner of the Huon River into the river that flows at the base of the caravan park. The sand disappeared as the tide came up, we never had to move our caravan and certainly not wet under foot as we were parked on a concrete slab.

The birds seem to be enjoying the river.
ReplyDeleteThey do and plenty of plovers around as well, it's about the only time I see a plover.
DeleteVery lovely and colorful landscape photos! I think Rain feed up everything.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteRain is always good for all as long as it's not over done :)
What a beautiful park! The 2nd picture is my absolute favourite.
ReplyDeleteYes Angie, it is lovely there - lucky to catch the birds in that photo.
DeleteBuena crecida de ese río, que afortunadamente no tuvo repercursión en el parque de caravanas.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Luckily the water didn't come up too high but that caravan park does flood at times.
DeleteJust beautiful - and the second photo in particular is a stunner.
ReplyDeleteWas lucky to catch the birds, it's a wonder they were not cockatoos as they fly over every now and than with much noise :)
DeleteSo beautiful nature.
ReplyDeleteNature is wonderful when it shows us those types of scenes to take.
DeleteI agree with the other commenters that have chosen the second picture as their favorite. It's fascinating, and has it all: grass, bushes, trees, water, birds, clouds.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky with that photo.
DeleteLovely scenes.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank Jan.
DeleteThe second photo is really good!
ReplyDeleteThanks Catarina.
DeleteSe ve todo tan bonito después de la lluvia. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, everything is fresh.
DeletePlovers - eh?
ReplyDeleteBeware of them when they have nests or a chick or two.
They mean business and you are the target.
I give them a very wide berth - one when I was young and curious
grabbed my ear and it was NOT a friendly switch. ha ha.
I have a pair who strut on the roof opposite my home. They give me glares as I sit and watch them strut around.
They also fly around at night - I certainly didn't know that until I moved here.
And they make a bloody loud racket.
Colin
PS: Red blogless
Lots or heaps of plover's down there at Huonville Caravan Park it's unbelievable and you are right they are so very noisy when all together flying or landing. Thanks re blog, seems there was trouble with a few all over the world but all ok now..
DeleteJust so lovely
ReplyDeleteThank Jo-Anne.
DeleteWe could use some of that rain here!
ReplyDeleteYour summer hasn't even begun yet, must be very dry.
DeleteМаргарет, здравствуйте! Пейзажи очень красивые! Так и хочется отправиться туда. А дождь не помешает.
ReplyDeleteAlways good to get rain as it makes everything look and feel fresh.
DeleteOne day you might get the chance to travel here, one day.
The area greened up beautifully and no doubt the rain was welcome.
ReplyDeleteLovely and green down that way, always seems to be.
DeleteIt’s nice that you were parked where you did not have to be concerned about the water.
ReplyDeleteWe were fortunate, if it had rained in the lower areas of the river as well as the high area as it was put to us, then we would have had to move Beatrice.
DeleteHi Margaret, it is always a little boring when we are on vacation and it rains, but the weather is sometimes unpredictable. All the photos are so beautiful, but I especially loved the first one with the boat.
ReplyDeleteTake care and all the best
Thanks Maria.
DeleteYes, rain can sometimes dampen a holiday.
Mas é um lugar de uma grande beleza.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.
