The rain

It did rain for a few days and nights whilst at the Caravan Park and caused a bit of a flood more so up stream.  The Huon Jet, the boat in the photo was able to come around the corner of the Huon River into the river that flows at the base of the caravan park.  The sand disappeared as the tide came up, we never had to move our caravan and certainly not wet under foot as we were parked on a concrete slab.

  4. Buena crecida de ese río, que afortunadamente no tuvo repercursión en el parque de caravanas.

    1. Luckily the water didn't come up too high but that caravan park does flood at times.

    1. Was lucky to catch the birds, it's a wonder they were not cockatoos as they fly over every now and than with much noise :)

  7. I agree with the other commenters that have chosen the second picture as their favorite. It's fascinating, and has it all: grass, bushes, trees, water, birds, clouds.

  9. Plovers - eh?
Beware of them when they have nests or a chick or two.
They mean business and you are the target.
I give them a very wide berth - one when I was young and curious
grabbed my ear and it was NOT a friendly switch. ha ha.

I have a pair who strut on the roof opposite my home. They give me glares as I sit and watch them strut around.
They also fly around at night - I certainly didn't know that until I moved here.
And they make a bloody loud racket.

    1. We were fortunate, if it had rained in the lower areas of the river as well as the high area as it was put to us, then we would have had to move Beatrice.

  14. Hi Margaret, it is always a little boring when we are on vacation and it rains, but the weather is sometimes unpredictable. All the photos are so beautiful, but I especially loved the first one with the boat.
Take care and all the best
