Easter in Huonville, Tasmania

Easter Sunday the Easter Bunny with a large bag filled with Easter Eggs arrived via a Helicopter.  The Bunny scattered the Easter Eggs in a large area and children with small containers scooped them all up.
Then after that there was an Easter Egg hunt within the Caravan  Park then followed in the afternoon a hunt for a 'ticket' which was deep in the sand by the river, the finder of that ticket won a Hamper of meat, fruit and veggies along with more Easter Eggs.
Where our caravan was situated we had a marvelous view of people digging in the sand whilst we just sat and watched.
The last photo is of children just playing.

    1. Ok. We saw several helicopters around Easter time, there was a bush fire not too far away so a helicopter was used with a big bucket of water to put it out.

  4. ן'm trying to visualize the kids collecting the eggs scattered by the Bunny, and the winner of the ticket with his prize.
An Easter of fun and joy.

    1. The children collecting the eggs was after the helicopter was high enough and out of the way just hovering then it flew off - it was on the TV News.

  7. It looks like a very nice, relaxed spot to be...for Easter...and at any time of the year.

I spent my Easter very quietly with my two furry mates..by choice. And I got to eat all the chocolate! They didn't mind! :)

  8. Lots of fun there in the caravan park and what a treat to have Easter Bunny arrive by helicopter. I imagine the kids were very excited. When there are so many children around I think you did the best thing by just enjoying watching them.

    1. The children were ever so excited Rosie and yes, the best thing was to sit and watch and laugh along with the antics of everyone.

  10. Given the degree to which COVID is still ravaging lives, we are a long way from having children get together like that. Oh for a return to normalcy!

  11. Buena tradición y fiesta Margaret. Por aquí seguimos sin poder reunirnos todavía. A ver si el covid empieza a remitir y podemos comenzar a la vida de antes, se añora ya.
    Buen miércoles. Cuídate.
    Un abrazo.

We had strict lock down last year and I'm positive this helped.

    1. Sure is a fun day. Way too many chocolates I'm sure as the Easter Bunny did leave them at each caravan as well :)
It's always wonderful to see people enjoying themselves, something which isn't seen so well these days in some parts of the world.

    1. Well there you are, you have learnt something about Easter Eggs at the caravan park.
I can't recall having Easter Eggs in Church on Easter Sunday - but each country is different and always good to read about it.
