Hope everyone is well.
So fortunate here in Tasmania, Australia to be able to travel within our State and now within Australia and being able to travel to the country of New Zealand without quarantining between each State and Territories or New Zealand (New Zealand is not part of Australia) - however, there is a lock down in Western Australia for 3 days as there was a case of Covid-19, a traveller returning home to Australia who is in quarantine. There are still many Australians overseas who wish to return home even after this long time of over a year.
So we headed off the Tuesday before Easter for Huonville with our caravan in tow on our own for a few weeks holiday which turned into being longer 😁😁😁
First stop and only stop on our 4 hour journey was at Ross for lunch, the usual stop we make and to buy a Scallop Pie for lunch which we ate down by the Ross Bridge.
That looks like a very nice area. The scallop pie does look delicious.
ReplyDeleteThat pie was good the scallops were so hot.
DeleteThe traveler is back!!
ReplyDelete: )
Yes, Catarina returned to the home and house :)
DeleteWelcome back! The pie makes my mouth water.
ReplyDeleteThe bridge looks very much part of the beautiful surrounding landscape!
Thank you Duta - it's a lovely old town.
DeleteA scallop pie sounds — and looks — wonderful! I’ve never heard of it before, only chicken and beef pies. It’s wonderful you are able to travel again. We still don’t feel safe traveling much in spite of getting our second shot as numbers are climbing again. I truly wish everyone would just agree to stay home for a month and lick this disease! Maybe then we could all get on with our lives once again.
ReplyDeleteThe scallop pie is very tasty and many places sell them in Tasmania, Australia but I think Ross Bakery has a nicest ones - but who knows they are all probably make in the same places and transport around the Island.
DeleteWouldn't it be good if everyone did stay home as we had to here last year but of course you always get rebels.
Fingers crossed that the travel bubble with NZ can remain open. And spread.
ReplyDeleteYou do live in a beautiful part of our often beautiful country.
Fingers cross EC for sure, the stats for today look promising.
DeleteThanks.
Me alegra saber de ti y que estás bien. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Teresa and I hope you are too.
DeleteA lovely spot to stop and have lunch.
ReplyDeleteSure is. If you come here again you might call into Ross and do similar.
DeleteHard to believe you were gone for nearly a month. I don't think I've been to Ross. It looks nice.
ReplyDeleteYes time sure does go quickly. Nice old town with large trees in the main street, beautiful colour in the autumn. There are a few things to see within Ross.
DeleteHere in United States handle the virus differently. From state to state. As far as I know we could travel state to state.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Oh ok.
DeleteEach State and Territory is different here in Australia as well, if no Covid-19 we can travel between them, sometimes with exception.
I have no idea when I will travel again
ReplyDeleteI suppose when you feel like it Jo-Anne and are able to.
DeleteScallop pie looks delicious! Landscape pictures are great. Have a wonderful newweek
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteScallop pie looks yummy! We can only travel within the state, crossing state borders is still not allowed.
ReplyDeleteOh ok regarding your State border, good idea as all helps.
DeleteDelicious recipe
ReplyDeleteThey are nice those pies.
DeleteМне нравятся пейзажи! Очень красиво!
ReplyDeleteБудьте здоровы!
Thank you.
DeleteYou too.
Se ve que en Australia , no ha habido muchos casos de contagio. El peligro está en los ciudadanos que entran de otros países.
ReplyDeleteComo siempre, muy bellas tus fotografías.
Besos
Thank you.
DeleteYou are correct in what you say - Australians returning to Australia.
Welcome back :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs, and that scallop pie does look delicious.
All the best Jan
Thank Jan. The pie is a treat :)
DeleteGreat that you had an enjoyable "break".
ReplyDeleteAlso good to know that SHANKS didn't try his hand at those car rallies of the last week in Tassie. Shocking accidents. I had never heard of them before.
Cheers
Colin
Yes, another break Colin all before winter.
DeleteOh yes, a few deaths this year in the rally - dreadful.
