On our way at Easter time 2021

Hope everyone is well.
So fortunate here in Tasmania, Australia to be able to travel within our State and now within Australia and being able to travel to the country of New Zealand without quarantining between each State and Territories or New Zealand (New Zealand is not part of Australia) - however, there is a lock down in Western Australia for 3 days as there was a case of Covid-19, a traveller returning home to Australia who is in quarantine.  There are still many Australians overseas who wish to return home even after this long time of over a year.

So we headed off the Tuesday before Easter for Huonville with our caravan in tow on our own for a few weeks holiday which turned into being longer 😁😁😁
First stop and only stop on our 4 hour journey was at Ross for lunch, the usual stop we make and to buy a Scallop Pie for lunch which we ate down by the Ross Bridge.

The bridge looks very much part of the beautiful surrounding landscape!

  3. A scallop pie sounds — and looks — wonderful! I’ve never heard of it before, only chicken and beef pies. It’s wonderful you are able to travel again. We still don’t feel safe traveling much in spite of getting our second shot as numbers are climbing again. I truly wish everyone would just agree to stay home for a month and lick this disease! Maybe then we could all get on with our lives once again.

    1. The scallop pie is very tasty and many places sell them in Tasmania, Australia but I think Ross Bakery has a nicest ones - but who knows they are all probably make in the same places and transport around the Island.
Wouldn't it be good if everyone did stay home as we had to here last year but of course you always get rebels.

    1. Yes time sure does go quickly. Nice old town with large trees in the main street, beautiful colour in the autumn. There are a few things to see within Ross.

  8. Here in United States handle the virus differently. From state to state. As far as I know we could travel state to state.

    1. Oh ok.
Each State and Territory is different here in Australia as well, if no Covid-19 we can travel between them, sometimes with exception.

  13. Se ve que en Australia , no ha habido muchos casos de contagio. El peligro está en los ciudadanos que entran de otros países.

Como siempre, muy bellas tus fotografías.

  15. Great that you had an enjoyable "break".
Also good to know that SHANKS didn't try his hand at those car rallies of the last week in Tassie. Shocking accidents. I had never heard of them before.
    Cheers
