  2. Lovely. Post boxes are getting rarer here, and telephone boxes like that one rarer than the proverbial hen's teeth. I don't remember when I last saw one.

    1. There are a few post boxes in our area which is handy as a card is often posted. Phone Boxes only know of 3 like the red ones.
Finding a post box in another town is hard at times and some have none at all - off to the post office.

  3. As far as I know all our old phone boxes have gone. We now have massive phone boxes, seldom used for calls but used for electronic advertising.

    1. Am aware of the modern phone boxes as we still have a few scattered about. Most people have mobiles these days.

  4. Uy que bella cabina telefónica aunque es roja me recuerda a las del doctor misterio. Me gusto también conocer los muelles. Te mando un beso y ten una buena semana

  5. The world is safe so long as at least one post box and one phone box exist. Loved your pictures today.

    1. Always good to see fishing ships in other countries along with post boxes and telephone boxes even if old.

  9. Buenas vistas del puerto.

Las antiguas cabinas de antes, han quedado como elementos decorativos de la ciudad. Me recuerdan mucho las que se ven en Inglaterra.

    1. Yes, I believe those post boxes and phone boxes are very similar to those in the UK.

    1. Oh yes, great idea and I believe we have one of those libraries in Penguin near the big penguin if you recall and the box is painted blue.

  13. Beautiful photos, in the 2nd the color contrast of the red boats with the blue of the sea gave a spectacular photo.
I loved the Royal Post Box, very different from the ones we usually see
Take care and all the best for you

  14. It's a long time since I've gone fishing. The last time I fished was when I was living on Newry Island...and then it wasn't by boat. A lot of trawlers did call in, though, for a couple of drinks at the bar. The island was their last port of call before dropping off their loads on the mainland, across at Mackay Harbour!!

  15. Telephone boxes !!!! - I can't recall when I last saw one.
The vandals I think practice on them before they take on homes etc.
    Terrible in the extreme.

    1. Oh dear, so sad if the vandals take to them. Not that problem in Stanley or Ross Colin.
