Water Park, Goondiwindi

The National Heritage and Water Park in Goondiwindi was opened in 2004 and offers plenty of activities for all ages.  The purpose built 3km water channel provides great opportunities for water sports of all kinds including waterskiing, wakeboarding, canoeing and boating.  It's also the perfect place to view the vast bird life, have a picnic on the lawn or swim at the 'designated' area.
Taken from the Queensland Government web sight.

When there last year the water was very low and didn't look good - don't think I would like to swim in that water.  There were change rooms and toilets plus seating undercover.
The photos show various parts of the water park as we walked around.

  1. Looks like a great place for a stroll. I do hope the water will improve soon. It's a good place to swim or just soak ones feet. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Was lovely to walk along there even though the grass was so dry.
Don't know if there is more water in it at this point in time.

    1. It is a pity but hopefully if they have enough rain it will be ok.

  4. Looks like the sign does not want anyone in the water. It's sad because the area does look nice.

    1. It is sad when all the workers went to the trouble to make it a lovely area - rain will fix the quality of the water, enough rain.

    1. Be nice if it was as a lot of work went into building it.

  7. It's a shame signs are necessary to warn people off...but they are because too often people don't use common sense...or have none! (You understand what I'm saying, I think) :)

Your photos always tell a story, Margaret.

I'm running a little behind...I've responded to your previous post...re Gunsynd.
