Vintage Cars.

When at Emu Park in Queensland we came across some vintage cars - all were parked along the street as the owners were in having a meal.

  1. I think vintage cars have more charm than modern ones. However they are also a heap less comfortable.

  3. Aren't they just wonderful! And the car bodies would be so tough not even the largest balls of hail would dent them!

    They are terrific! :)

    1. They don't built them like they use to, and how wonderful as the hail wouldn't even show a mark - well I presume.

  4. I have never been able to figure this obsession with old cars, but it seems to be a worldwide phenomenon. In Cuba they are everyday working vehicles.

    1. Each to his own regarding ones interests.
I guess it's a hobby of some sort, hobbies always or usually cost money, social business and so on.
Husbands Uncle was very much into the vintage cars when alive and he and his wife would go on many a rally both in Tasmania and some States and Territories of Australia - they used to have a ball. A bit like you, your wife and friends with the birds :)

  8. I bet if they all took off together, the noise would be deafening.

    1. Oh yes, it would be...pity we missed that as I love cars that makes a good noise.

  9. A case of "love me, love my car". They are really in pristine condition
    and lovingly cared for.
Actually the old pre-US vehicles, prior trying to freeze out Cuba because of a person the US didn't like, are a tourist attraction and are kept in amazingly good shape. I'd say that to buy one would NOT be cheap.

  11. Those bright colors are surprising. They weren’t around in the days of those cars’ youth!
