The caravan park is one we usually stay in and there were people there from the year before that we caught up with.
The lady drinking tea or coffee, well she's in her dressing gown, her husband took off to do some shopping in their motor home and left her there. It did look rather strange so I took the opportunity to take a photo.
Then a sunset at the caravan park.
The marina at Mackay, Queensland.
Up on a hill, the lookout over the sea and beach. People come here to see if any whales can be spotted making their journey north.
The marina looks picturesque. Judging by the boats some people have money!
ReplyDeleteMany have money I would say and love sailing.
DeleteWhat a lovely place, it's very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's kept tidy and clean, no mucking about there.
DeleteIt looks lovely. I have a blog friend there, and someone I volunteer with comes from Mackay so thank you for the 'background' information. And how I would love to whale watch.
ReplyDeleteWe have seen whales going up north there in Mackay, it all very interesting.
DeleteMe gusta las vistas del mar y de su precioso faro, también la del puente deportivo, con su gran cantidad de barcos.
ReplyDeleteHas hecho un laargo viaje, pero el lugar merece la pena.
Besos
Yes a very long journey it always is when travelling north in our winter but extremely enjoyable.
DeleteThe disadvantage of not being detachable.
ReplyDeleteI would like it myself, caravan for me.
DeleteReasonable breakers on the beach.
ReplyDeletePlenty of great looking water craft at Mackay. The Great Barrier reef and fishing
is of course the attraction.......and not forgetting the mines just inland.
Plenty of money in Mackay.
I'm not sure the "old biddy' would be amused being snapped in her "morning attire". ha ha!
Great photos with questions on #1 !!!! ha ha.
Colin
The lady would be horrified I'm sure if she knew that I had taken her photo - but if you put yourself out there, it's too bad in my book.
DeleteMining has cut back up that way.
Me parecen fotos preciosas, el mar me encanta. Besitos.
ReplyDeleteMost people like the sea as you do :)

Many like the sea Laura.
DeleteThank you.
I didn't realise mackay is so beautiful. We just drove through it. Big mistake.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice place..good places to dine along where the Marina is, rather pretty there.
DeleteIt looks, to me, you have a few photos of Lambert's Beach, Margaret.
ReplyDeleteFor a couple of years...after leaving Rockhampton...before moving back to our Mum and Nana's original hometown of Gympie...we lived at Slade Point. And they had a little store halfway between Slade Point and Lambert's Beach. Back then...in the late 1940s the little shop was called, "Hill's Cash Store".
The last time I saw it was back in the 70s-80s and it had become a "7-Eleven" store. I have no idea if it still exists these days. It was on a slight rise...to the left as you head to Lambert's Beach.
Many of your posts certainly do stir up memories for me, Margaret! :)
There is a shop between both those places you have mentioned we called into a few times, can't recall if it's a 7 Eleven though, don't think so because no selling of petrol - just probably another shop.
DeleteDo hope they are pleasant memories :)
Its a beautiful place. Lovely sunset and beautiful sea view.
ReplyDeleteAlways lovely there Nancy.
Deletehow amazing to meet people you met last year ,such coincidence is rare indeed :)
ReplyDeleteloved the tranquility that park offer
hope you have seen whale during any of your visit dear Margaret
