The other Friday evening we went and had dinner at Grindelwald about 20 minutes from home.
There is a restaurant and shops within the area below.
The meal was delicious and there were four cousins and partners, just a nice gathering.
First photo was when we arrived the remainder as we came out of the restaurant. The time is wrong on the clock.
Detalhes fotográficos muito interessantes. Grato pela partilha.

DeleteThis town just looks so European! Beautiful location to have a dinner too
ReplyDeleteIt does from photos I've seen.
DeleteIt looks very interesting. I will have a look at it later.
ReplyDeleteOK. Thanks for commenting...was concerned about you 😉
DeleteI had imagined that Grindelwald might have been designed by some Swiss immigrants to remind them of home, but having read about it I see that it was actually developed by a Dutch immigrant who sold his supermarket to Woolworths.
ReplyDeleteUsed to go shopping with my mother in law to the man Rolf Vos's supermarket in the city back in the day until he sold it to Woolworths which used to be Rolf Vos supermarkets until the names was permitted to change to Woolworths which now is one of the main grocers in Australia. He was always a helpful man nice man.
DeleteBavaria, Salzburg, or anywhere in Switzerland!
ReplyDeleteLooks illylic !
Hope that with your now torrential rain, it is not washed away.
This rain is starting to test the strongest of nerves!
Colin
Looks similar to some buildings in Switzerland. He Rolf Vos the Dutchman ( immigrant) had a great vision.
DeleteHas rained here all day and apparently last night too. Flood gates have been closed in the city...North West Coast people in a certain area have been told to evacuate.
Such a beautiful town Margaret, a lovely place to meet up and have a nice meal. The fountain is lovely too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful meal Denise and wonderful company too.
DeleteIt looks nice in the photos but we were disappointed when we went there. It was operated by a Dutch family. Bill comes from a town not far from Grindelwald in Switzerland and this place is nothing like the real thing. But I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves with family.
ReplyDeleteOK. I know Rolf Vos when he had it designed just said, modelled on Swiss Village....I recall you told me it was not at all like Grindelwald in Switzerland. It's a lovely area and certainly very different to what our normal houses are like...
DeleteThe place is beautiful and I am sure the food is delicious. Great evening spend with family.
ReplyDeleteHad a. Good night Nancy...thanks.
DeleteThis is a beautiful place to be.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the food has been delicious too.
Greetings Irma
We all loved our meal Irma. Will go again.
DeleteCharming--- and very well caught. Thanks for your nice words on my picture of the tugboats. The low and hazy sunlight added a lot to the original.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill. You are welcome:)

ReplyDeleteOk. Thanks for letting me know.
DeleteMy goodness! What a beautiful town. I've never heard of it before. Stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're safe from all the rain, Margaret...take good care..stay safe.
It's certainly lovely at night with those lights Lee.
DeleteYes, we are good here where I live, no problems at all. Several places are flooded elsewhere and roads closed...thanks for asking :)
