A drive the other day down to the Tamar River here in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. It was a beautiful Spring Day and the water was calm.
There is a Hotel in a place called Rosevears over looking the Tamar River excellent meals I believe and many people gather to eat there. Picnic tables across from the Hotel and you can catch a ferry and go for a little ride on the river.
Many years ago my husband and myself along with another couple water skied in this area. In those days I didn't have a camera!

DeleteHello Margaret. The photos and Tamar look great. Thanks for your sharing. Have a good day :)
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteSo very beautiful! The deep blue in the last photo is amazing.
ReplyDeleteReflection of the blue sky helps make it bluer. It is nice there on a sunny still day.
DeleteBeautiful place and scenery. Th people are taking advantage of a nice day.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly were taking advantage of the lovely day as we were too.
DeleteYet another beautiful drive. I love those reflected clouds.
ReplyDeleteThere is just something good about clouds reflecting in the water, make for a much more interesting photo.
DeleteTamar river is certainly a beauty. I used to frequent Launceston a lot mainly for contractor work in LGH and local calvary private. To be honest, the only incentive of being there is really accessing the natural beauty there lol
ReplyDeleteThat's true regarding natural beauty of Launceston and it's areas. I was RN at LGH and Calvary Private many moons ago.
DeleteAll so beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks Jan. This one went to spam but of course it's out now, I let it out :)

DeleteA beautiful place indeed. I would love to take a ride on the boat or have a meal outdoor facing the river.
ReplyDeleteIt's peaceful by the river eating ones food.
DeleteHello Margaret.
ReplyDeleteI haven't looked here for a long time, and here are so many beautiful photos. It's nice to watch and admire these wonderful views.
Have a nice week.
It is still raining in my place, hence I take less walks, I am waiting for a colorful autumn, which will be at my place in two three weeks.
Look forward to your autumn colours when you are able to take the shots. Thanks.
DeleteUm rio calmo e tranquilo.
ReplyDeleteGostei de ver.

Thanks Marco. The last photo, the water looks as if you could walk on top of it.

It is a nice place along the Tamar River, some better than others.
DeleteWhat a beautiful place and scene! All photos look amazing. Especially last pic's blue (Tamar river and sky's blue) looks perfect. Greetings. Happy October Dear friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you. The last photo and the water looks like glass.
DeleteЗдравствуй, Маргарет!
ReplyDeleteКак красиво!
Хочется прокатиться по реке на пароме.
Это услуга для туристов?
Yes for tourists and locals who would like a ride on the boat.
DeleteLovely scenery. I love a ferry ride. Lovely reflections in the water. I know another Tamer Ferry in the UK Margaret. I used to take that ferry regularly as I lived down that way for many years.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.tamarcrossings.org.uk/
I expect our Tamar River could have been named after the one in the UK. We don't have a regular ferry service across the river but in Launceston there is a cruise ship (small) that will take you for a ride up the Tamar River.
DeleteEs un bello lugar...no hay nada más que ver esas fotografías.
ReplyDeleteBesos.
Thank you :)
DeleteThink my comment may be in spam?

ReplyDeleteSandy's Space
So true Sandy.
DeleteWater skiing eh? How I loved that sport as a young buck in my PNG dqys
ReplyDeleteat Finschhafen. Even got to the bare foot stage!
Major problem was the very dangerous sea snakes - beautifully coloured
but deadly if they got you.
Cheers
Colin
Yes, water skiing on the Tamar River.
DeleteThat would be half the fun seeing that you didn't get bitten by a deadly snake.
Love the reflection of the trees on the riverbank in the water! I don't know why I missed your post on the reading list again. The rain is pouring now. Everywhere I drive through has river choking the drainage systems
ReplyDeleteReflections are always good.
DeleteProbably Blogger playing up, just a thought anyway you came :) and commented, thank you.
Trying to rain here, just a few spits so far. Drive Safely in the rain and hopefully the drains won't become too burdened with the rain.
Beautiful and peaceful place.
ReplyDeleteThe photos and video are fantastic. I especially loved the reflections of the clouds on the water.
