Low Head

Low Head is just a few klms from George Town and is a holiday place, well once it was, however, people live there now because as the roads became improved and towns bypassed the distance is not as far as it was way back.  The beach isn't much and you don't see that many people there even in the summer. The sea is Bass Strait.
There is a lighthouse on a bit of a hill, can just see it in the photo.  Also there is a Pilot Station and Maritime Museum which is interesting.
The last photo is a home and one of the nicer ones over looking the sea.

  1. This beach landscape is very idyllic, without people, the first photo looks like a sunset but whatever it is invites you to visit it and enjoy it, the last photo is beautiful that hamlet, the architecture it has is very beautiful.
    Happy weekend.
    Best regards

    1. The first photo does look like a sunset but it wasn't for another hour or more before the sunset.
Tasmania doesn't have crows of people at any of their beaches even in summer when holidays are on.

    1. Not too far from that beach then or the lighthouse.
Sometimes peoples post have us going looking for more on certain subject and I don't mind that at all, always learning.

  10. Being close to a variety of places is why we like living where we do. The mountains, the Gorge, the high desert, and one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world (the Oregon Coast). Living near the ocean in this part of the world requires being able to put up with a LOT of rain. Although that may be changing...

    1. All very beautiful. Rain is needed to grow all things, we don't seem to have heaps of rain.

    1. When I got to that beach the sky wasn't very dramatic but then it changed - in the right place and the right time.
