To Biloela, Queensland

Continuing on our holiday in winter 2018 we stayed at Mundubbera in Queensland where we stayed last year for several days in a Motel, this year we stayed in the Caravan Park for 3 days then headed to Biloela Queensland for about 1 week. Two links from last years visit.

This year we stayed in a different area of the caravan park and so was treated to seeing Kangaroos who were easily frightened away, so from some distance I took these photos.

The bird below came to visit each day.

Towards sunset the above photo, below is a shopping mall though small had several interesting shop inside.

  4. The first photo conceals the joey in a very large bulge. Great magpie shot. The shopping centre looks just like any in the suburbs.

    1. That shopping centre was ever so small though, I'm sure most are a bit larger.
Thanks regarding the magpie, was easy to take as it was still often which is unusual.
Seems to me those Joeys stay in the pouch far too long but whom am I to say, it's nature.

  5. That's a long way from home. I like the bird, almost looks like a magpie, but not enough white.

    1. 'Tis a very long way from home, but it's all good as you do see a lot when you travel in the vehicle see much more than in a plane.
Might be a different type of magpie.

  6. I love the kangaroos, absolutely! And I love that bird! My thoughts you wondered about have to do with the orange sickness that pervades my homeland these days. I'm still hopeful that we will all feel lots better eventually.

    1. They are a lovely creature and have such sweet faces.
The bird was quite tame, we enjoyed it's company each day.
Thanks for the reply on my question - let's hope all is much improved for the future and that you all do feel much improved :)

    1. It's wonderful for me to see them also Marco, I live in the city and we don't see them unless we go to the bush.

  8. Los canguros son unos simpáticos animales, para verlos en mi país haría que ir a un zoológico.

    1. Can understand that you would have to visit the zoo to see them where you are, here they just hop around mostly in the country area.
