Let's hope the rain won't be too much and flood as you say. I should imagine they will eventually have rain if they haven't by now, hard to keep the farms going without water.
My God Barraba certainly needs a good drenching. Plenty of my college mates came from properties in this area and they were excellent equestrians ( pony clubbers) and sporting (cricket, tennis and rugby champs). As for the police car being there, well policemen do have "a call of nature" now and then - ha ha!!!! Colin
I suppose in their spare time those folks would practice riding so therefore became good at it. Didn't have far to go to saddle up their horse, not like town folk. Was a long stretch of road after one of the towns was the loo.
Thankfully, the bush fire ravaged areas of Qld have received much-needed rain. It's been horrendous over the past 10 or so days in those areas affected by the fires.
That really does look parched. They need rain in the worst way. Hopefully it won’t come in torrents and cause flooding and erosion.

DeleteIt looks so dry that even the trees look as if they are suffering too.
ReplyDeleteThose trees can withstand lack of water but they do look miserable because they haven't had any.

DeleteGreat pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks Krishna.
DeleteQuintessential Australian countryside. And so very dry.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what took the police out there.
I expect the Policeman was travelling between towns...call of nature EC.
DeleteYes, very dry there.
Very very dry. The town clock is impressive.
ReplyDeleteNice town clock, always great to see one because even though they tell the time they are all so very different.
DeleteExtremely dry there.

ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Anne.
DeleteA very dry area, but so very Australian. I love those old town clocks.
ReplyDeleteTown clocks are always different as you know, great to see them in the middle of an intersection.
DeleteTypical Australia is that bush dry scene.
Thankfully, the bush fire ravaged areas of Qld have received much-needed rain. It's been horrendous over the past 10 or so days in those areas affected by the fires.
ReplyDeleteHave seen the fires on the TV - not good.
DeleteIt doesn't appear that the police officer had much to do... A quiet place, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI somehow think he was travelling between towns - that is a rest stop.
DeleteI thought he might be "resting"... The building has that look.
DeleteNice pictures
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam.
