Gayndah is a small town with well under 2,000 people. Oranges and Mandarins are grown in the area. Called into the 'Big Orange' and what delightful oranges they were selling, the taste was delicious and much better than any orange we had eaten in two years from the supermarket.
Inside the big orange is a bit of history of oranges.
At the gate below.
I can imagine the sweetness of those oranges. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a very Merry Christmas!
Ever so tasty Catarina.
DeleteThanks you and you have a lovely Christmas too.
There is a store here in Ontario called "The Big Apple"and it is the same theme. There is a giant apple visible from the highway, and they sell apples in every form you can imagine. Their pies are pretty good actually.
ReplyDeleteWell that sound great. We also have 'The Big Apple' at Spreyton near Devonport here in Tasmania but it doesn't sell all kinds of apples..
DeleteMay I wish you, Margaret, and your family and friends too, a Merry Christmas and success and happiness in 2019.
ReplyDeleteThank you David and the same to you, your wife and family..
DeleteI wonder where all those really good oranges get sold?
ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm aware our best Oranges are sent to over 40 export destinations. The top 5 being Hong Kong, Japan, China, United Arab Emirates and Singapore.
DeleteWe have to put up with dry not nice to taste oranges so our delicious juicy ones are sent to those countries.
Me encantan esas contrucciones realizadas con la forma de la naranja. Aquí en el Sur de España, que es donde yo resido hay buenas zonas naranjeras de excelente calidad.
ReplyDeleteBesos
That is wonderful. I presume to get to buy those oranges grown in your area.
DeleteThat is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWish you a Merry Christmas.
Thanks Krishna, and a Merry Christmas to you too.
DeleteThere is a lot to be said for fruit and vegetables eaten where they are grown. They almost always taste a heap better.
