Temporarily Closed

The Black Stone, a restaurant in Blackstone Heights a surburb of Launceston has operated for just a couple of years.  It's now Temporarily Closed and what a pity, we had lunch there last year, not a cheap place but not expensive either.  I took some photo of the inside and meant to post them last year but forgot. The first two I borrowed the remainer I took with my phone and of course forgot to take a photo of my meal, and there were several people eating there hidden from the camera.

  1. Large glass walls are perfect. Even if you are eating inside, it feels like outside. So why close down temporarily?

    1. Loved the large windows, it was good being inside looking out.
Have no idea why they are temporarily closed but guess it's lack of people or illness. Haven't heard anything.

  5. Love that light - though the tables and chairs made me think of school. I hope it reopens.

    1. Sure is plenty of light there inside. Tables in a row does look like school EC :)
Be such a shame after building and furnishing all of that if it stays closed, what a loss.

    1. That's true it does in away look like a cafeteria, I think it's the way the tables are situated, but it is nice inside.

  9. It's a pity when that happens. It looks to be a very large and open space and I wonder if that makes it hard to create a good atmosphere.

    1. Well open space in a restaurant can be like how to describe Andrew, there is another restaurant called Cataract on Patterson that's open planned like the one pictured and that one does really well, even if they do have cobwebs hanging from the lights that could fall into your food - oh dear! Trust me :)

    1. Yes it is a shame, out of the way a bit but then often restaurants do well.

  18. The facility attracts attention with its modern appearance from the outside. And inside it is also impressive and modern. Eating a meal in such a place is a real pleasure.

  22. What a pity it has closed. It looks a beautiful place to have a meal too. I often prefer to go to restaurants that have a lovely outlook rather than amazing food, sometimes its hard to get both but when you do get both you are lucky - then they close!
