Carvings at Low Head, Tasmania.

In front of East Beach Caravan Park at Low Head near George Town, Tasmania (the mouth of the Tamar River town) there are these beautiful carvings of Macrocapa Pine (a wood) done by Eddie Freeman a chainsaw carver, and commissioned by the previous park owners.  A link to what Eddie has to say about his chain saw art.

I've never shown these particular caravings on my blog because it's my first photos of them taken the other day.

  4. I am in awe of anyone with the skill to carve like that. I'd like to own a few, but they tend to be out of my price range.
