Something different from me. The first rose is Peace which gave up the ghost a few years back and we never replaced it. The second photo is of the rose Climbing Iceberg which is rather a pretty picture in our back yard.
The Kangaroo photo was taken in a newer building area and there is a lot of bush behind the animal.
Margaret, the rose is my favorite flower. Yours is gorgeous! I can imagine the scent that the ones on "that wall" of roses will give off!
ReplyDeleteGood smelling area there in the garden Norma, I too love roses.
DeleteSo, are the kangaroos pretty docile and mellow? Or can they be aggressive?
ReplyDeleteSometimes Kangaroos are very aggressive, they have big claws and they do kick, not good at all if you are attacked. However, some are docile and usually hop off, if they a bit tame they are ok if you don't do anything to alarm them.
DeleteLovely roses. I have never seen a live kangaroo.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne. I can understand you not ever seeing a live kangaroo, but I'm sure you've seen them on Youtube or TV, movies.
DeleteLove your roses. I can remember reading the story of how Peace was developed. That Iceberg is doing really well. You obviously found the perfect spot for it.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course I appreciate the roo.
Thank you EC. Husband waters the roses and feed them, they need a feed at the moment. It is a lovely spot there for them to grow covering the fence..
DeleteSuperb rose in the first picture, beautiful climbing roses in the second one.
ReplyDeleteThe kangaroo looks very cute, and his color mingles well with the surrounding colors.
Thanks Duta regarding the roses.
DeleteKangaroos like many animals simulate well into the area of where they live. Have been to different areas of Australia and saw different coloured ones many times, they all blend in well with the vegetation.
Thanks Duta regarding the roses.

Aquí no es normal ver los canguros, solo lo vemos en el zoológico.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
I can understand that.
DeleteThose climbing roses are absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie.
DeleteWhat a beautiful rose and I like photos of kangaroos
ReplyDeleteThank you Jo-Anne.
DeleteIn reply to the second comment from US followers - kangaroos are very aggressive
ReplyDeleteand can attack - their claws can rip your stomach to bits.
The ones you see in enclosed parks for petting have their claws/paws cut.
Just really like the so-called cuddly koalas - you should see the mess they can make if they get inside your car, caravan or God forbid your house.
That rose - "Peace" is beautiful plus the climbing ones on the fence.
I guess you and Eddie take great pride in your garden - well done.
Cheers
Colin
Thanks Colin. We only have a small garden these days, toned it down somewhat as we age!
DeleteYou managed to kill a rose!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there were Climbing Iceberg roses. They look a treat.
The rose that died was poorly anyway Andrew, it was only a 1 year old rose and normally you buy a rose in winter when it's 2 years old, has a better chance to survive. Thanks re Climbing Iceberg roses, and yes, the climbing one has been about for years.
DeleteLovely roses and a great picture of the Kangaroo.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank you Jan.
DeleteMe enamore del canguro. Te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely, he is a cuties :)
DeleteThe roses are beautiful especially the climbing one. Roos are living in the suburbs now.
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane, Yes, houses being built pushes the Roos back from the area they once lived, many of course still visit.
DeleteThe kangaroo is such a very special animal, as your photo shows. I was worried about them being endangered, either accidentally (hit by cars) or intentionally (hunting) but now I am even more worried. Spouse and I drove from Melbourne to Adelaide and saw many dead animals along the highways, some of which were definitely kangas.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful creature and so graceful when hopping along for such a large animal. That's sad having to see them on the side of the road expired but it happens a lot, sometimes here and on the mainland up north there is a truck that goes along the highway and back roads and collects the dead road kill every few days, but for the life of me I can't recall which Shire.
DeleteI remember a visit we had to Cunnamulla once (been a few time) the football ground in the evening times was covered in Kangaroos, hardly standing room for a human. I'm sure they won't become endangered, there are so many of them in all areas, many Shire wondering how they are going to deal with so many of them.
Hello Margaret
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like summer and summer time, flowers are blooming everywhere, there are roses and it is warm. It's nice to see such things in the middle of winter, but for me the days are getting longer and I'm slowly starting to look forward to spring....
Have a nice day
Well hopefully you won't have to wait too long for your spring, and remember that is when my autumn will be :) I enjoy looking at your photos when you show snow no matter how little as it helps me to keep cool..
DeleteThis is a beautiful photo of the rose.
ReplyDeleteWe only see kangaroos here in a zoo, it's cool that you see them there along the road.
Greetings Irma
Thank you Irma.
DeleteWe mostly see kangaroos and other wild life at dawn and dusk, so if travelling and there is bush one has to be careful.
These roses are very impressive indeed.
ReplyDeleteThank you, they bloom for a fair time, then they are cut back to grow and bloom again.
DeleteThe roses are GORGEOUS!! And the kangaroo is giving you the "eye"...lol
ReplyDeletehugs
Donna
Oh yes, the roos was giving me the eye for sure, his or her mate ran off.
DeleteThank re roses.
A kangaroo is perhaps the most iconic image of Australia.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, see a kangaroo and it reminds you of Australia immediately.
DeleteSuch beautiful roses. I love roses.
ReplyDeleteThank you, many of us do love roses.
DeleteWow! That climbing rose is glorious. Hope that kangaroo doesn't come near it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pauline. The kangaroo is in another area to where I live, after staying that there have been roos on our lawn from time to time.
DeleteLove the roses, especially the climber. Mr Kangaroo posed very nicely for you.
ReplyDeleteThe Roo was eyeing me off..Thanks re roses, we started off with one climber then gradually added more to make a wall of white roses.
DeleteThat's a beautiful rose! Never seen a kangaroo... must be so common there
ReplyDeleteThank you Ashok. Kangaroos are common if you are in the right area where they are, but I bet there are many within Australia who have never seen a live one. We saw about 6 this evening on our way home from our friends place, they were behind a high fence otherwise they would be on the road.
DeleteThe climbing roses are so gorgeous. They really cheer all beholders UP!
ReplyDeleteHow far did you take the kangaroo picture?
Thank you, pleased they roses brightened your day.
DeleteThe photo of I took of the Kangaroo - was parked on the other side of the road, so not too far away.
Tus rosas se ven bonitas, también se ve bonito el canguro. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Teresa.
DeleteLove the roses Margaret, the climbing ones put on an incredible show and I do love that kangaroo.
ReplyDeleteThe white iceberg roses is a good grower and sturdy with a wonderful show of blooms as you can see Denise..Thank you.
DeleteUnas imagenes de belleza impresionante. Genial la mirada del canguro
ReplyDeleteThank you Ildefonso..saw about 6 kangaroos on our way home from friends house, they were behind a high fence.
DeleteBeautiful images of those roses are said to be the queen of flowers, I like them all, some in a special way.
ReplyDeleteAwesome kangaroo.
Best regards
Thank you Jose.
DeletePreciosas rosas. El canguro posó para ti 😅
ReplyDeleteBuen miércoles.
Un abrazo.
Yes, the kangaroo stopped hopping and eating and looked at me, so I was lucky to get a nice shot.
DeleteThree fantastic photos!
ReplyDeleteI loved the first rose, it's fabulous!
Funny and beautiful kangaroo.
Thank you Maria, beautiful rose that first one.
DeleteI love roses and this shade looks so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThe roses are beautiful, and I bet they also smell amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, there isn't much perfume with the Iceberg rose unfortunately.
