It is a big salmon. You can buy fish but it's frozen, can't buy the fish in the ponds because it's a breeding hatchery.

That I don't know Andrew, could be...Poinsettias are bracts.
I am amazed that the local herons haven't discovered this ready source of food.
Didn't see any local Herons around that area at all.

We were lucky enough to be by a creek near the Columbia River just as the salmon were headed "home" to spawn. Big! Another fine post!
