Another days drive in New Norfolk, Tasmania

Back in March we went for another drive whilst staying at the caravan park.

Hops growing and taken with my phone.  The last photo was another day and we were headed to the Gorden Dam in the South Western area of Tasmania..A few years ago there was a big bush fire in the bush and many hectares of trees were burnt.

  5. Beautiful landscapes.
How sad it is when fires arise and devour everything in their path.
I apologize for my absence but I have works at home and there is little time available. The posts are scheduled and are leaving.
    Take care, hugs.

  7. It must have been such a hot fire as the bush is not recovering as quickly as I would expect. Maybe it is because of the elevation that things grow quite slowly.

    1. Some vegetation does take awhile to grow, and as you mention it's higher up so cooler at times

  9. The mere mention of bush fires recalls the terrible catastrophe last year. One can only hope there will be no repeat of those conflagrations.

    2. Let's hope there won't be the fires of such destruction as last year/this year.

EC, I did hear about that fire, not good.

  10. The last photo shows what the fire did............slow rebirth of the native
    forest vegetation.
From ABC weather reports - you certainly are getting a drenching in Tassie at present. Hobart seems to be having rain on a daily basis!
