Below is the train station, then one of the main streets taken through the car window along with a building in the 4th photo.
Wodonga in Victoria is about 300klm from Melbourne, so back in winter 2019 we were not that far from the ferry to get back home.
Below is Wodonga which has about 35,000 people but also a busy main street. Photo is of one of the major supermarkets being Woolworths.
People came into the caravan park late in the evening and quickly set up their tent.
Love the trees.

DeleteI expect a few of the park arrivals will also be heading south for the ferry the next day.
ReplyDeleteMany would believe it's too far to drive in the one day to ferry, probably staying in Melbourne as in outer, then people coming from the east, don't know where they would stop. We use Bendigo as a good guide to travel into Melbourne to ferry in the one day but have driven from Shepperton is coming that way.

DeleteI imagine your Woolworths must be the same chain as we used to have here, but ours went out of business about 10 years ago. I used to like Woolworths from a time when I was a child as you could always find exactly what you were looking for somewhere within their aisles. Anything from glassware to ribbons to nail clippers or a packet of pick & mix sweets.

DeleteWoolworths here is a grocery supermarket etc. There are divisions of it and it's owned by Woolworths Group (Australia).
