St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temora, it was locked.
Next photo is the Catholic School.
Second last photo is the main street in Temora.

Trinity Lutheran Church below.
The race horse called Paleface Adios was a harness racing horse who was a pacer throughout the 1970's and early 1980's. Can remember hearing about the horse back then.
Me encanta la imagen de portada del tu bloc, Margaret!!! Saludos.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jordi...not that far from home was up on Mt. Barrow a couple of winters ago before we went north for the remainder of the winter.
DeleteSuelen abrir las iglesias, a la hora del culto. También algunas tienen su horario de visitas, independientemente del culto.
ReplyDeleteMe gusta su fachada y es una lástima, que no hayas podido ver su interior.
Besos
You are correct when they open, if the school is using the church during the week it's open for that time only.
DeleteBoth churches are beautiful. The catholic church is so much bigger, maybe they have more members. Nice race horse for the entrance to the park.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Have found that Catholic Church's usually are larger and often on the highest hill in a town :) more money I expect and Mass was with Irish Priests gradually Australian Priest were introduced as time went on.
DeleteYou could say I am an Irish Catholic...lol
I can remember hearing about Pace Face Adios too. I had no idea it was that long ago though.
ReplyDeleteTemora is beautifully maintained isn't it?
Great pride in Temora with all things EC. It's certainly a pleasurable town.
DeleteTime slips away.
I remember the horse's name. That is quite some church in the first photo and the town looks very nice.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever get the chance it's a nice town to visit and explore.
DeleteGood church, looks the part.
Very nice indeed
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Anne.
DeleteI know Temora very well - played squash there every Thursday night when I lived in West Wyalong.
ReplyDeleteNobody had a bad word to say about good old Paleface! If you were stupid enough to your face may be re-organised - ha ha!
Was also the best man at a wedding of a mate in that Catholic Church.......brings back great memories of the 1970's! Thanks.
E-mail on my live under coronavirus 19 soon.
Cheers
Colin

DeleteWhat a beautiful church.
ReplyDeleteThis seems a busier place.
Photos were taken during the week and not at a weekend, makes a difference :)
DeleteIt is a nice Church it's a pity didn't get inside.
Lovely photos again, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosie.
DeleteMuy bellas imagenes, amiga
ReplyDeleteThank you Ildefonso.
DeleteI find it disappointing that churches are locked up these days. They used to be open most of the time for people who wanted a quiet moment. I like the little Lutheran church.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is disappointing. I can remember going into a any town and visiting inside a church no matter what denomination it was and taking photos.
DeleteThe Lutheran Church is rather nice as so many churches are regardless.
Beautiful churches and lovely park. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy.
DeleteThanks Agnieszka.
