Temora, NSW

Started off with the new blogger for this post all was well but couldn't make my photos larger.  Have send feedback as it's asked for.  Came back to old blogger to make photos larger :)

Just down the road in Temora we came across this poor house, oh dear, to think someone lived in there once and was probably their pride and joy, beautiful homes across the road.

Went to the showgrounds where there is a caravan park within it but certainly not as nice as where we stayed.  Came across this shelter for whatever it's for.

Entry to the Airport and to the right the caravan park.

Sorry about the sun, it was in the wrong place but it was good to have it out.  This is where we parked, we had power.
The building below is an office for the Airport and to the right the showers and toilets.

Love this tree, so healthy.
The below houses are along the drive away from the airport, many of these houses have hangers at the back of them with small planes but I couldn't manage to get a photo.

  1. Nice photos! The house doesn't look like it will be standing much longer. Looks like a nice area you visited. Enjoy the day!

  3. I suspect the chimney to the first house will remain for a while after the house itself has collapsed.
Houses with aircraft hangers? Wow. Not something I associate with country towns. Properties yes, but not the towns.

    1. We were totally surprised by those hangers at the back of the houses in that street, we had to look twice to believe it and did when we saw the planes inside a couple of them.
Yes, chimney always stay it seems.

  5. That's a glorious first photo - if you click onto your uploaded photos whilst there are in draft then a menu will come up giving you 5 different choices of photo size, and also the possibility to move them from side to central or keep in the centre.
    Well done.

  7. When I see old and derelict houses such as the one you show, I often think about what the walls have seen within the house. Lives, loves, births, deaths....

  8. We were amazed at those houses with hangars, instead of a carport or garage they had a hangar or maybe with both? Temora is a great town and you have captured it well.

  9. The first house is in a sad state. I have never experienced travelling and staying in a caravan. Have a great week.

    1. Thanks Nancy.
Caravanning is not for everyone Nancy. Many people sell their homes buy a caravan and off they go, some work along the way some don't. Some keep their homes, some rent them out if they are going for awhile.
We still have our home and have one of our sons living at home, so he looks after it plus the security company whom we pay to man the alarm.

  14. Las casas en ruina me dan mucha tristeza. Las demás casas se ven bonitas y el árbol también. Besos.
