Remember I had my both cataracts done, one in mid December the other early January. To read and do my blog I had to use magnifying glasses.
Photo of my new glasses below.
It appears that some of my photos have gone from the blog - they might reappear, well hopefully they do as I didn't remove them. Must blogspot-Google gone mad!...lol
Evening time at Gatakers Bay, Hervey Bay Queensland.
Was talking to a Aboriginal women whilst there and she told me that once a year at this time Pelicans come to Gatakers Bay for the evening only.
She is a wise woman!
ReplyDeleteIndeed she was, very interesting to talk to.
DeleteNice glasses, must be great to see clearly again. I love those sunset photos and the pelicans, very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill.
DeleteGlasses are a blessing to see the computer. I haven't need them for distance as yet for my eyes are ok for that.
I am so glad that your glasses arrived. Many of the stores which make them are shut here.
ReplyDeleteAnd hooray for the wisdom and experience of that aboriginal woman - and what a beautiful sight and photo.
Glasses took a while to arrive, usually it takes 5 working days this time it was double that. Lovely lady the Aboriginal women was too.

It must feel great looking through new glasses! I get headaches trying to see without mine. The pelicans in the sunset make a beautiful photo. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteIt does feel good to see with the glass on for computer and reading, if I don't wear them everything close is a total blur.

DeleteGood that you have your eyes finally sorted out. Curious about the pelicans. Must be either food or reproduction.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrew.
DeleteThe lady didn't know why those pelicans came only once a year, would be interesting to know. Just a thought, perhaps there is more food there at that time of year.
Great photos and nice glasses
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Anne.
DeleteThank you Agnieszka.
ReplyDeleteI like your new blue glasses. I wear mine all the time and have a few pairs to match with what I am wearing(when I am that organised). Love the photos too, and very interesting talking to the Aboriginal people about nature. I have had some very informative conversations with them over the years. Stay well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosie.
DeleteI'm not wearing my glasses all the time, got used to not wearing them I think - time will tell.
Talking to the Aboriginals is interesting as you say, we have done so on several occasions way up north.
