The graveyard at Stanley and some old quaint houses.
5th photo is where Joseph Lyons was born, he was the first Tasmanian Prime Minister of Australia.
2nd last photo is part of the caravan park and horse walking along the path next to the beach.
Like David I am a great graveyard fan too. Tonight we have a BBC programme about the wildlife in Tasmania with David Attenborough, which I am looking forward to seeing.
Graveyards are not on my visiting lists, but I have been impressed with war cemeteries that I have visited around the world. They are always impeccably kept.
The homes look very English, but then it does get bloody cold and windy in that area of Tasmania. Good report and photos as is the norm with thee, Margaret. Colin
Graveyards are always interesting places to visit - especially for history buffs.
ReplyDeleteThey sure are. Often a story attached to the headstones as well. Always interesting.

DeleteThat Graveyard looks like a lovely place to spend eternity - and the town a delightful place to live.
ReplyDeleteCertainly a sweet quiet place to live, and the graveyard is lovely and well kept.
DeleteHmm, Stanley is not where I thought it was. What a nice little town. We must visit there next time we are in Tasmania.
ReplyDeleteThe Pub has a good meal apparently if you visit. Beautiful little village to walk around especially on a nice day.

DeleteMany views of the graveyard, was nice to be able incorporate parts of the trees plus the sea.
El lugar de emplazamiento del cementerio no podría ser más bello. El mar de frente es un hermoso acompañamiento.
