Sure hope everyone had a wonderful safe Easter.
Returned home after a week away down south of the Island.
Had a great time and bought a new laptop the day before we left.
Autumn is in full swing, was lucky to get a few autumn photos - here are two of them, both taken at a place called Ross. We must remember that Tasmanian trees do not change colour in autumn (execpt one) so those that do are introduced trees.
Welcome back :)
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely photographs, I especially like the colours in your second one.
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan. I love the second one too - taken outside the old Richmond Jail, not in use anymore was for the convicts.
DeleteWe have been so dry that our autumnal colour is more subdued than usual. Love seeing yours, and glad you had a good trip away.
ReplyDeleteThanks EC.
DeleteWeather plays a big part in our autumn colours - some years our leave hardly turn.
Ha, I thought there was no rush to buy a new laptop. The trees in the second photo are magnificent.
ReplyDeleteThere wasn't a rush Andrew, but when you go and collect your old laptop you have to buy a new one - don't you! :)
DeleteFall colours are part of the Canadian psyche! The very symbol on our flag is a maple leaf when it has turned red.
ReplyDeleteVery different from ours in your homeland David, our temperate climate doesn't have such colour as you do.
DeleteThe Autumn colours are always quite beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey are, lovely to see as not many leaves do change colour.
DeleteWONDERFUL TREES always nice to be home.
ReplyDeleteMerle......
Always good to be home, nice to go away too. There is no place like home.
DeleteBeautifiul trees, my Easter started out great and ended with tears and sadnes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Anne.
DeleteI'm sorry for your loss, he will be sadly missed, but you have wonderful memories I'm sure.
The red and gold is so lovely, are they claret ash and golden ash trees?
ReplyDeleteClaret ash are usually a claret colour.
DeleteGolden ash is usually a golden colour.
Welcome home!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill, nice to be home.
DeleteLovely to see the autumn photos and I do love to see the leaves on the ground. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Rosie. It's a pretty time of year.
DeleteMy favourite time of year.
ReplyDeleteCertainly a pretty time. Spring/Summer are my favourite times.
DeleteMe gusta mucho la luz de la primera fotografía y los colores de los árboles de la segunda.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Thanks.
DeleteThey both offer different things.
Welcome home! I had no idea there are no native deciduous trees in Tasmania. You would miss the fall colors if not for the imports i think.
ReplyDeleteJust one deciduous tree which is found in the mountains in a certain area and the leaves are only small, have seen it many years ago.
DeleteOur climate is temperate so hence no great change.
Thanks for the welcome home :)
Gorgeous trees, thanks.
