Along the North West Coast of Tasmania is a beach called Turners Beach which also has a caravan park and years ago we used to go and stay for the weekend when we owned our business to get away from it all. I used to ride my horse when we lived on the farm before moving to the city. Everyday, I rode so it was pleasant to see these people on horseback walking and galloping along the beach. It brought back happy memories.
Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne.
DeleteLovely memories - and a gorgeous beach.
ReplyDeleteIndeed EC. It is a good beach when tides is out, further to shoreline there are pebbles, one of a few in Tasmania that have pebbles.
DeleteSe ve tan precioso, me gustó verlo. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Teresa.
DeleteThey are so beautiful..the 2nd picture is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteThat one is nice Angie, I agree with you you, the light and so on shining through the clouds on a nice late summer evening.
DeleteLovely beach and memories. We see horses on the beach here occasionally.
ReplyDeleteYes Bill, good memories. I think horses look good on a beach trotting or galloping along.

ReplyDeleteIt is a good beach Andrew when the tide is out, pebbles close to shore.
DeleteBella playa . Me gusto el caballo. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThank you J.P
DeleteDoes the horse mind getting at least some way into the water? I imagine in summer it is quite hot.
ReplyDeleteHorses don't seem to mind the water as I've often seen them galloping at the waters edge. Can be rather hot in summer but they don't seem to mind as it's usually done in the evening time down here.
DeleteA lovely looking beach, I'm sure the horses enjoy it too.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank you Jan. The horse appear to love it, they can gallop, trot or walk for a long time along there, sort of gives them some freedom.
DeleteI remember seeing horses on a beach as part of their training exercises, but I don't remember where, it was a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteA nice thing to see in my book, River. Yes, it's usually done as part of their training.
DeleteOh! The peace...and the serenity! So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, very peaceful there Lee.
DeleteWhat beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteNice beach to walk.
I wish you a nice weekend.
Greetings Irma
Thank you Irma.
DeleteOn one of our visits to the coast, we were walking a beach when two young girls on horseback galloped by. It's amazing how much noise those hooves make-- even on sand.
ReplyDeleteYes you are right, it's heavy going for the hove's.
DeleteI am glad that it evoked pleasant memories for you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, David. Always good to have pleasant memories.
DeleteHow liberating! Horseback riding along the beach.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, freedom for the horses to a degree and they are such graceful creatures to watch.
DeleteBeautiful photos, they lifted my mood this morning
ReplyDeleteThat's good Jo-Anne.
DeleteYou quite often see the racehorses being exercised in Botany Bay right at the end of mascot airport. The planes don't seem to worry them in the least.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Colin
The horses are probably used to the planes and other noises, Colin.
DeleteLovely pictures
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashok.
