Windermere view

A view from Windermere down the Tamar River.  We have the East Tamar and the West Tamar, Windermere is on the eastern side so the photos are looking to the western side and down the river towards Launceston, Tasmania.

I like both photos, very similar.

Looking across to Rosevears Hotel and the rooms that look over the Tamar River.

  1. The views are absolutely beautiful. That hotel must be popular for the people who want a nice view when they are in the area.

    1. The Hotel has good meals so I'm told. Don't know how the rooms are but they are not that old, and they look inviting.

  8. I would sit in the hotel room overlooking the river each morning, sipping an espresso and getting all my mail done. Retirement is not all bad news :)

    1. Retirement is often a good time if all is well.
My parents had a house over looking the sea and land, great view. I inherited that house but sold it as it was in another city....marvellous there.

  13. Your seaside photos are always so calming. My Ex Sis in Law and husband have been touring Tasmania rather extensively. Yesterday they were in Strahan and took a Gordon River cruise.

  16. Hello Margaret
I also like these photos very much, this tiny boat against the blue background at the bottom and at the top looks great. And these brown colors also look great in the next photos. You present us another beautiful corner. As you well know, I like such views and landscapes, and I always like to capture them in photos.
    Kind regards :)

    1. Well people do fish in the Tamar River, also go on boat rides, we used to water ski on the river when younger.
