Tulip Time

It's Tulip time again being Spring.  These tulips are grown down the North West Coast on a farm at Tablecape just near Wynyard.  The Farm is open from September 23, to October 22, or longer depends on how the tulips are blooming. There is a fee to enter this working farm to view the tulips.

  3. Simply gorgeous. Ours haven't lasted long this year. Unseasonal warmth and wind have wiped them out quickly.

    1. That's the trouble with so many flowers that come out in spring, if the wind blows at the wrong time, the flowers are gone.

  5. The beds stretch way into the distance. It would be interesting to know how much the whole crop would sell for at retail prices.

    1. That would be interesting, these tulips are often grown for just the bulbs as many of them are exported, or done in trials and so on.

  11. Well, sometimes I forget that when autumn is coming for me, spring is starting for you. I look at these photos with sentiment because time flies so quickly, I only remember photographing red tulips, and the days are already autumn and getting colder. But I'm not worried, a few months will pass and the situation will turn around... :)
I wish you nice spring days, a beautiful period lies ahead of you!
