It's Tulip time again being Spring. These tulips are grown down the North West Coast on a farm at Tablecape just near Wynyard. The Farm is open from September 23, to October 22, or longer depends on how the tulips are blooming. There is a fee to enter this working farm to view the tulips.
Beautiful tulips and there are plenty of them. A nice colourful view of the fields.
ReplyDeleteIt's a rather big paddock they have there with most of the growing tulips in about 2 of them.
DeleteWooooow! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteRather attractive Anne.
Deletewow They look so beautiful! The colours are amazing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours as most flowers do have.
DeleteSimply gorgeous. Ours haven't lasted long this year. Unseasonal warmth and wind have wiped them out quickly.
ReplyDeleteThat's the trouble with so many flowers that come out in spring, if the wind blows at the wrong time, the flowers are gone.
DeleteMargaret here also October is tulip season in the south, in the Argentine Patagonia. I was encouraged to plant 1 and with great joy fpara my bloomed!
ReplyDeleteThat is good then Norma. Never had a tulip in my garden, oneday I might grow some.
DeleteThe beds stretch way into the distance. It would be interesting to know how much the whole crop would sell for at retail prices.
ReplyDeleteThat would be interesting, these tulips are often grown for just the bulbs as many of them are exported, or done in trials and so on.
DeleteThat’s a lot of tulips!
ReplyDeleteSure is and great to walk through it, well not all as it's a long way with a very rough surface.

ReplyDeleteIt reminded me of my visit a few years ago to the Keukenhof garden in Amsterdam.
A good reminder I expect Maria.

ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
They are beautiful in reality...all colours of the rainbow.
DeleteWell, sometimes I forget that when autumn is coming for me, spring is starting for you. I look at these photos with sentiment because time flies so quickly, I only remember photographing red tulips, and the days are already autumn and getting colder. But I'm not worried, a few months will pass and the situation will turn around... :)
ReplyDeleteI wish you nice spring days, a beautiful period lies ahead of you!
Thank you and I do hope when you winter arrives it's not a harsh one.
DeleteA whole rainbow of tulips! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, and pretty too R.
