The Bridport Lighthouse was built in 2017, so it's certainly not old and it's a concrete round one that serves the purpose for the local area. The sea is Bass Strait.
The photos were taken near the lighthouse at Bridport in the north eastern area of Tasmania.
Beautiful series of photos, beautiful views.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Irma
Thanks Irma. Sure the views are lovely.
DeleteThe views are beautiful. That is probably the newest lighthouse I've ever seen, it does the job though.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know how old the lighthouse was until I reseached it. The waterfront area there has been changed over the years.
DeleteLove the scenery Margaret and your lighthouse.
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise.
DeleteI was born in Connecticut where there are lighthouses...I love them!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos!
hugs
Donna
Lighthouses are interesting especially if someone or family have lived there where they are, many stories to be told know doubt.
DeleteThank you Donna.
They look absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Angie.
DeleteNot old at all. I didn't realise that they were still being built. Glorious views. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteNo not old. I'm with you and didn't realise new ones were being built.
DeleteAwesome place.
ReplyDeleteSweet town Anne.
DeleteI like the look of lighthouses and wish I could visit more of them
ReplyDeleteThey are interesting to visit and also see Jo-Anne.
DeleteThe lighthouse looks rather modern. I will be working short contracts for Bass strait health network soon.
ReplyDeleteBuilt for the local area and it does look a nice modern one.
DeleteWell that should be interesting your work - are you looking forward to it, I wonder!
Old or not, the lighthouse looks so stylish.
ReplyDeleteBlue is always a good colour for a lighthouse.
DeleteI would like to live in a home whose front wall, all glass, faces the lighthouse.
ReplyDeleteThere is a large picnic area where the lighthouse is, up further to the north of the town, wonderful views to the see but not sure if you can see the lighthouse.
DeleteUn conjunto de fotos preciosas con vistas que serenan el alma con aguas serenas, y ese faro que emerge.¡que bello!
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo
Thank you Stella
DeleteI didn’t even know that lighthouses are still being built.

Thank you.
DeleteLooks damn small. I also thought lighthouses were a thing of the past.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Colin
Apparently not a thing of the past Colin, they are still needed to quide the boats in
DeleteSuch nice scenery, and I always enjoy seeing lighthouses.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks Jan. Each and every lighthouse we see if different yet they all do similar.
DeleteI would never have guessed that the lighthouse had only been built six years ago! I just assume that they're all a century old (walks alway in shame)

I too was surprised at it being not so old , it serves a purpose for the local boating people.
DeleteMuy buenas imagenes, amiga Margaret
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteΠολύ όμορφα τοπία!
ReplyDeleteThank you..it was beautiful being there.
DeleteFantastic place.
ReplyDeleteA very recent lighthouse, they are always precious aids to sailors.
Yes Maria you are correct, certainly in that small area to show them the way.
DeleteSuch a beautiful place. Looks so peaceful and serene. And I love lighthouses!
ReplyDeleteAlways placed in lovely areas are those lighthouses, in our travels I often saw them and took photos if possible at that time.
DeleteSe ve bien el faro y los paisajes son preciosos. Besos.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely there Teresa as you say.
DeleteThere is something about a lighthouse that is just magical. Even if they were built in 2017.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, they hold mysteries in a way.
