In the St. Helens area is Swimcart Beach on the east coast of Tasmania which is lovely, many people camp there in the summer, I'm told it's very hard to get a place to park the caravan or pitch a tent. There are toilets there and as far as I'm aware it's all free.
I've included a photo of the Australian bush which is opposite one of the scenic views along the road.
House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) says Irma, her website is [ here ] and well worth the visit as Irma takes such beautiful photos. This is the bird that visited us at the St. Helens Caravan Park.
Like the header!!
ReplyDeleteI can see myself walking on that beach.
Beautiful beach, another one :) Thanks re header.
DeleteA fantastic beach!
ReplyDeleteExcellent capture of this beautiful bird.
Thanks Maria. The photo of the bird was with my phone.
DeleteThe beach is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised that camping is free.
Have a good weekend.
Many places on the Island are free if you don't mind no water or power, there are usually toilets near by. Thanks
DeleteBeautiful beach and bird. I like the names of your beaches, they are unique.
ReplyDeleteThank Bill. Often wonder where the names for the beaches came from.
DeleteHello Margaret :)
ReplyDeleteThe beach looks very nice and clean. I would like to vacation there. Thanks for sharing and happy weekend :)
I've never comes across a dirty Tasmanian beach yet, some look cleaner because of the white sand I suppose. Thank you.
DeleteBeautiful.. I like the magpie too.
ReplyDeleteThanks EC
DeleteWow una spiaggia davvero meravigliosa.
ReplyDeleteQuante belle passeggiate che si possono fare e c'è sempre la possibilità di fare qualche incontro interessante con dei bellissimi uccelli
Several walking areas in that area Stephanie, and lots of birds to see where ever you go.
DeleteMolto bello ed interessante il sito di riferimento, complimenti per il post. Ciao cara Margharet e buon fine settimana, un abbraccio Angelo.
ReplyDeleteThank you Angelo..Have a good weekend too.
DeleteOcean...can almost catch the scent of saltwater.
ReplyDeleteYou can smell it, it's in our imagination when we are not there...
DeleteI always love your beach photos.
ReplyDeleteHello River, Lovely to see you here commenting. I recall you do love the sea and certainly of late there is no shortage. Enjoy.
DeleteGreat photos, the one of the track leading to the beach took me back to my childhood and visits to my Aunty Nita who lived in Port Macquarie near Flynn beach which had such a track.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Anne, always good to have lovely memories.
DeleteThe rocks in the sea look like camel's humps in a way. Beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteWe see different things in the ocean and those rocks do look like camel humps. It's certainly lovely along the east coast.
DeleteI like the way all the trees and other plants in the bush photo have their heads lowered against the wind. The wind comes from this direction. We will just lay down a bit and over the top of us it will travel.
ReplyDeleteThe day we were there, there was hardly a breeze so lucky but the trees were nodding their heads a little as the breeze was coming behind them - they look magic those trees, so many different shades of green.
DeleteIt is a beautiful spot so untouched.
ReplyDeleteCertainly is Diane.
DeleteBeautiful photos and views.
ReplyDeleteThe bird you are showing now resembles the Dutch Magpie (Pica pica ).
I can't see it very well because you photographed it from the front, you can't see the tail very well now.
In any case, it is a species from the crow family, I'm sure.
Greetings Irma
Thank you Irma. Friendly bird it was, and didn't pose so well :)
DeleteGorgeous photos, Margaret.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your beach photos.
Hugs and blessings
Thank you Veronica.

DeleteThis is a very beautiful beach in Tasmania. Good place for visit in summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm told that there are several people at that beach camping right now, though it would be too cold for me.
DeleteLas buenas playas, tienen esa dificultad. Todo el mundo quiere ir a ellas y es muy difícil conseguir aparcamiento.
ReplyDeleteAl contemplar las imágenes de la playa, comprendo que haya tanta gentes que acuda a ella.
Un abrazo
You are correct, like any popular place it's hard to be present.
DeleteNot hard to figure why people love to camp there.
ReplyDeleteThat's true David.
DeleteThe bird in your last photo - probably singing. Great capture!
ReplyDeleteIt might have been singing, looks it but I can't recall if it was...thank you Duta

DeleteI somehow didn't get this update. The views look amazing! The house sparrow looks different from what I have seen over here.
ReplyDeleteProbably just blogger being odd again, yes, the views are amazing.
DeleteGreat capture of a beautiful bird. If I'm not wrong it is a hooded crow.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteLooks a lovely campsite to know about in Tassie, the bush and the ocean what a great combination!
ReplyDeleteNothing like the Australian bush.
