I rather like Irises and once we had the colours that grew for a few years and now only the dark blue ones grow, the others have just disappeared.
The lavender with a bee grew beside the fishpond until the fish pond was removed so the lavender was disposed of. We now have a very similar lavender in another area of the garden, we used to call the lavender 'Spanish Lavender' but these days it has some other name.
Beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteLove the header.
Thanks Catarina. Took the header photo a couple of days ago, since we've had a fair bit of wind and rain but lovely weather the past two days.
DeleteI really like the irises.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Irma
They are a lovely flower and even better on mass.
DeleteMargaret the lilies no longer adorn our gardens when I was little they abounded in them.
ReplyDeleteOh really, seems that's what they do, disappear sometimes.
DeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandi.
DeleteAs you know, I like them too. Rather a lot. I am also fond of the columbines you feature in your new header.
ReplyDeleteLove Columbines and it's strange but I once had all different colours, yellow disappear only the purple one bloomed and now that appears to be gone and yellow is the one of the past few years!
DeleteHi Margaret. These flowers are great. I like so much ❤️ thanks for your sharing. Have a good day :)
ReplyDeleteThank you - and you are welcome.

ReplyDeleteThanks Bill.
DeleteI used to have irises planted in my old house. Bi-annually I get to test my new lenses on the irises for bokeh rendering lol. Love the colour and the shape.
ReplyDeleteI do that as well sometimes.
DeleteThere was English lavender and French lavender, then Italian lavender was added and I gave up trying to keep up.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, then people bread different versions of lavenders. We just pulled out our lavender hedges, English, as they had had their day.
DeleteBeautiful photographs of these lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks Jan.
DeleteThey bring back memories from my childhood. We had irises growing in our garden. :)
ReplyDeleteOh did you, they are an old flower and a favourite of many.
