The shopping area

Covid-19 has developed once again in the State of Victoria and the border between Echuca and Moama NSW is closed causing a bit of a stir.  Many people who live in Moama work in Echuca and have to get a permit to go to work - well best to be safe than ill or dead.

Below are some photos of the shopping area in Echuca, what I really like about this area is not much has changed, the shops are quaint.

We walked through these shops and found them fascinating, the fish shop had great fish and chips, we thoroughly enjoyed them.

  2. Desde que apareció el Covid-19, nos ha cambiado mucho la vida. Ya no tenemos la libertad que teníamos antes. la precaución se impone y ahy que mantener una cierta distancia, con las personas que encontramos a nuestro paso.

    1. So true as to what you have written. Be a long time before it gets back to normal if it ever does.

  3. It looks absolutely delightful. The Tobin Brothers looks much better there than any I have seen. More comforting and supportive somehow.
I do hope this latest lockdown contains the Covid19 spread.

    1. It does look a lovely place and it appears as if it's attached to the home.
Hopefully the Covid-19 will not spread to other State and Territories that are free of it at the moment. Somehow I expect when our Island border is opened to some States and Territories we will have a few more cases unfortunately.

  4. Nice looking town. I chuckled at the sign "A coffee a day keeps the grumpy away." I Want I Need, what an interesting name for a store.

  5. Lovely shops and buildings Margaret. I do enjoy seeing the smaller, family run places that always have so much more character to them than the larger shops. I hope your lockdown does the job. Strange times we're living in all around the globe. We stay close to home these days and don't venture out much. Just waiting it out I guess and see what happens. Thank you for letting us travel through your photos :)

    1. You are welcome to travel with me even though it was last year, the memories for me as still very vivid.
Always country towns are so much more to offer than big cities with their super stores.

  6. The sole building with the clock is interesting and it is the most unusual Subway food place I have ever seen.

    1. For the life of me can't remember what that building is where the clock is.
Agree about the Subway, very different frontage.

  7. I remember going into the Camping, Fishing store and it had what we were looking for and also some different and interesting items too. I enjoy going shopping in small towns.

  9. Subway! They're everywhere. Question: I saw a sign that reads, Art Furniture. Is that furniture as art, or art and furniture. Inquiring minds want to know.......
