Holden Cars

Holden Cars were made in Australia for years. The first was produced in 1948, the last in 2017.

The Holden museum in Echuca has many Holden cars which are owned by various Holden enthusiasts, these owners have done their cars up immaculately and display them in the museum for a time.  I enjoyed viewing them all, and was permitted to take photos.
The history and information of the Holden can be found [ here ]

I took photos of all the cars there but showing a few in this post and not in order.

    1. I believe there are car rallies for these cars to go in, so that is good they get used that way and are able to show off their Holdens.

You are welcome and one day you might get to Australia to visit :)

  3. Those are beautiful cars. I wonder if the brand could be brought back. I see you posted this on Monday July 13, which makes me smile, since I am getting ready for church here on Sunday morning July 12. It is a big old world!

    1. Oh the time difference, does make one smile being a day ahead down here :)
The brand of Holden was taken over by an American company, but they are not going to make a 'left hand drive' so that rules Australia out.

  6. They have been restored and maintained beautifully. I think that old cars, like old houses, have a charm of their own.

    1. Being made solely in Australia for years then bought by a company in America who stated they were not going to make them with the left hand drive, that was the end of that David.

  10. Great photos of iconic cars. I really like those with original number plates. There is another Holden (GM-H) museum in Gippsland.

  11. Now might be the time to rejuvenate the car industry here in Australia.
Getting industries started again should be a major priority for the Federal and State government members of this new and sound working Fed/State/Territory leaders.
We can but live in hope.
Not surprised that the Kanuks have never heard of the Holden car!!!!
    Cheers

  15. There was one VERY FAST Holden that was imported to the US rebadged as a Pontiac GTO. Very fast. I like the older models a lot.
