The Peacock.

I do love Peacocks their colours and grace is amazing and forever hold my interest.
This beautiful creature I captured a few years ago at the Launceston Gorge about 10 minutes from the city.

We are off again on a short holiday in Tasmania for about 2 weeks so see you all when we return.
Be safe, stay well and enjoy yourselves.

  1. When I was a kid I used to collect peacock feathers. I kept them within the pages of books.

  3. Peacocks are I agree beautiful - I love their feathers and would love to have some in a vase, but many people, apparently, believe that to do that is unlucky.

    1. I've seen people with peacock feather in large vases and think they do look attractive. Didn't know that some believe it's unlucky.

  6. Desde que estuve en la ciudad de Plasencia, no he vuelto a fotografiar un pavo real. Después no he tenido la oportunidad de hacerlo.

Son preciosas las fotografías que has hecho.

Many times I've been to the Gorge but don't always come across peacock like the one in the photo, I was lucky that day.

  7. They are truly dramatic birds aren't they? Lucky India, having them as their national bird.
Have fun on your holiday. Enjoy yourselves and stay safe.

  8. There hardly seems to be a park or garden in the world that does not have peacocks.

  11. How beautiful they are.

St. Bernard's Hotel here on the mountain had them roaming around their property. I'm not sure if the peacocks still do...of the bird variety...I mean! :)

They are beautiful birds Lee. Up in the Gorge there is a restaurant with table and chairs outside and you often see a peacock on a chair when no one is using them.
