Ayr, Queensland

Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  The Parish was founded in 1912? as far as I can ascertain, there is not a lot of history or information about the church.
The side view, the front and the back view of the church.

Ayr War Memorial.

  1. Churches here are pretty much becoming historical relics as congregations plummet. Mostly these days they are people with white hair or no hair, with very few young people maintaining religious observance.

    1. True, smoke came later I expect but probably too far north to have smoke from NSW and southern Queensland.

  3. It is lovely.
Many (most?) of our chuches in regular use now are of the Pentecostal variety and they often look more like community halls.

  5. Las paredes blancas de la iglesia, me recuerdan la balncura de las casas de Andalucía, zona en la que yo habito.

Es muy bonita y muy agradable a la vista.
