Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Queensland

There are several beaches at Noosa and this makes the area very popular all year around.
It's about 136 km from Brisbane.
The place has good coffee shops and caters for the tourist.

  1. Queensland is certainly blessed with a great range of beautiful beaches and they seem pretty clean to. So many beaches around the world are the daily recipients of various quantities of the garbage with which we have filled the oceans.

    1. The beaches are clean, do not see any evidence of plastic bags and such as you don't in all of Australia which is good.

  5. And I love that it is virtually unpeopled. The very best way to see a beach.

  6. Noosa is PARADISE as far as I am concerned.
Devoid of that clap trap and high rise of the Gold Coast.
Just a pity that property is so expensive there.

The restaurants of Hastings Street are really world class.
    Ah - glorious Noosa.

    1. It's like wind surfing but can't remember what it's called exactly.
He put his feet on the board in the water then lets the sail go high into the sky and that pulls him along in the wind.

  8. Another nice beach to add to my list. It looks like I'll be spending a lot of time in QLD when I win the lottery :)

  10. Now, you're talking! Another of my favourite haunts from my childhood forth. 'Tis where I had my green-grocery store back in the 80s...in the legendary Hastings Street.

Mylate brother and my first husband were both once lifesavers in the Noosa Heads Surf Lifesaving Club...and a good friend of mine, still...was captain of the club for many years, and then, for even more years, president of the club.

    Noosa...I love Noosa!!

Always looking nice is Noosa, remember going there many years ago and there were no coffee shops! Very different were the streets back then.
