We returned yesterday from a trip around Tasmania in the Caravan. Gone just about 2 weeks.
Luckily I was able to view blogs and comment in many places using my phone whilst away.
So back to the holiday in Winter 2017.
Peregian Beach is a lovely long beach and we have visited it many times before.
People swim in the winter on the Sunshine Coast - well some people do, I'm not one of them.
Yes! More beach fotos. Keep 'em coming.

I will
DeleteGreat shots. Scenes I hope to see. I think you guys spend most of your lives on the road!
ReplyDeleteLast year was 3 months and most years 3 months, remainder of the time at home.
DeleteWhat a nice beach!
ReplyDelete'Tis indeed
DeleteLa playa parece que tiene arena fina, muy apropiada para caminar descalzo y así poder masagear la planta de los pies.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Many of our beaches have fine sand, some even finer which makes for lovely walking on the sand.
DeleteThe only place close to here where you can swim in winter is Florida.
ReplyDeleteThe further south in the USA and further north in Australia - if you are game enough in winter but not summer too many things in the water.
DeleteWinter in those places is the only time I would be comfortable so yes, I would swim.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful all year round though.
I would in winter only, many places have nets further up north though, and some places you just wouldn't go for a swim at all anytime of year.
DeleteI remember when my dad first went to Tassie he said it was such a small state he could see it all in a day but of course he soon realised how wrong he was
ReplyDeleteTasmania is deceiving as in size - glad he found out it takes weeks if not months/years to see most of it.
DeleteSurely beaches don't come any better than this! It's gorgeous! Love your shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, it certainly is a lovely beach.
DeleteThat is a good looking beach but winter swims not for me.
ReplyDeleteMerle..............
If hot enough I would swim there but that part of the coast is not hot enough in winter for me.
DeleteJust beautiful! I appreciate the pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mildred.
DeleteSo beautiful.. calm n serene love them..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and quiet too in winter.
DeletePerigian Beach is up north from Dicky's beach. Like 1/2 about between glorious Noosa and Caloundra.
ReplyDeleteI did plenty of surfing all year around as long as the sun was out when I lived up there but NEVER at DUSK or DAWN - Shark feeding time - ha ha! And I had no intentions of being an entree for some hungry shark.
I can't recall though if Perigian Beach was patrolled like eg: Alexander Headlands, Mooloolaba, Noosa and Sunshine Beaches to name just some of those magnificent beaches along that coastline.
Great photos to promote our wonderful coastline......the best in the World.
Colin
Yes Perigian Beach is north of Dicky Beack, but that's ok as we don't go to beaches in order Colin.
DeletePerigian Beach is patrolled, swim between the flags etc. as is usual.
It's a long lovely coastline.
Wonderful!!! How I love the beach!
ReplyDeleteSo many people love the beach because of the sea..always nicer if the sand is good.
DeleteMust be the time of no stinging jellyfish and crocodiles but I would not swim there either.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of a croc down that way, but you never know - if the seas get warmer.
DeleteThere is no sign up saying stingers in that area, but still you never know.
I like that third photo with no people in it. I'm sitting just off camera, daydreaming..........
ReplyDeleteGood on you, nice to dream.
DeleteGlad you have just enjoyed a good break - your new header is perfect, it spells out just what I need, that is, some much warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosemary - I have changed the header again and still of the sea :)
DeleteThis is my favourite Beach. Spent many family holidays there. Your photos are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane.
DeleteGreat beach to spend time at.
I am so, so missing some of that Aussie fresh air and wonder beaches! What a gorgeous spot.
ReplyDeleteWren x
Beautiful place..
DeleteWinter here is slow to depart. Your photos remind me of what is ahead for spring and summer.
ReplyDeleteI think most of us don't like winter to linger but then if summer goes on forever it's similar.
DeleteBeautiful seas.
ReplyDeleteAlways lovely in winter there.
DeleteWhat beautiful colour in your photographs ...
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed a Spring-like day in my part of the UK - but the weekend once again snow is forecast!
All the best Jan
All the best Jan
Keep warm and spring will soon be there.
DeleteLovely beach!
ReplyDeleteYou keep visiting places I know so well, Margaret! I worked in Peregian Beach for a while...firstly in a real estate office then known as "T.M. Burke"...later taken over by L.J. Hooker....and then, after that, for a while I was chef/cook at "The Ebony Emu" restaurant at The Peregian Beach Motel!!
ReplyDeleteThat was all while my ex and I live at Coolum...and then, later, at Sunshine Beach....from early 1979 until early 1986,
Beautiful beach.
ReplyDeleteWhy you don't swim in this beach?
Cool beach my friend!
ReplyDeletewater must be cold in winter i think
i wonder how people manage to swim ,photo with ladies is nice
