The Big Top on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
The Big Top on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland has been renovated and was closed when we visited in 2016, but open once again and certainly revamped with some shops gone and new ones taken their place. My phone took the photos and it is very nice inside much improved from before.
We are still some distance from Melbourne in Victoria then on the ship and home to Tasmania in Winter 2017.
Below is the view from the carpark
Still some distance from home and you can see where we've been further north in winter 2017.
I want to say I've heard of woolworths before
ReplyDeleteBeen around for years now in Australia.
DeleteView from car park is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see from the car park.
DeleteMe alegro de que se haya abierto de nuevo este local, las dependencias se ven bastante interesante.
ReplyDeleteBesos
The renovations/rebuild has been going on for some time, it certainly looks so much better now it's finished.
DeleteWoolworths... I haven't seen one in decades. They went extinct here a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to know that. They are doing very well at the moment.
DeleteLooks good
ReplyDeleteIt sure does
DeleteIt looks lovely. The view from the carpark is particularly nice.
ReplyDeleteIt is, you don’t usually see a good view from a carpark
DeleteA great shopping venue - is Woolworths a grocery store or like the original Woolworths which sold everything?
ReplyDeleteIt’s what we call a supermarket..
DeleteAs several have already commented I was interested to see the name Woolworths. They went out of business in North America years ago, and I believe in Britain too. Perhaps it’s a local chain that just happens to have the same name.
ReplyDeleteWoolworths has nothing to do with the American or British company.
DeleteOur Woolworths was founded in 1924....hope that helps.
When we first moved to the area we're in now-- 30 years ago-- there was still a Woolworth's on the main street. It was like being in a time machine. There's a sorry looking pawnshop there now. That's a nice, cheery shopping mall in your pictures.
ReplyDeleteSad how store go by the wayside, happens all the time.
DeleteYour ex-Woolworths has nothing to do with ours...
Lots of space, lots of things to buy.
ReplyDeleteCertainly not crowded, there is a large shopping complex near by and that always has a lot of people due to more shop.
DeleteThat looks like one of those giant malls you could spend days in without finding an exit. A bit like Ikea. It does look nice though and the carpark view is really good.
ReplyDeleteIt’s not that big but looks it...
Deletenice looking place!
ReplyDeleteCertainly is rather nice...
DeleteI prefer W/worths to the Coles Supermarkets.
ReplyDeleteJust because a supermarket chain is no longer in the USA,
that hardly makes it ready for the 'basket case' department.
Colin
I also prefer Woolworths. Our Willie's has nothing to do with the British or USA Woolworths, that was.
Deleteafter renovation place looks wonderful dear Margaret!
ReplyDeleteyet loved the water image most
Have to agree with you Baili.
DeleteYou have a Woolworths store, wow, we have lost ours. Brilliant photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bob. Yes we still have Wollies as we call it, have had for years :)
DeleteNice to see this commercial center. You have Woolworths there, we don't have, but I have seen it in other countries in Europe.
