I've come across a colony of white Cans south of Tampa...but otherwise we see nothing but brown pelicans. From a distance they look bland, but up close, amazing how much color they don.
The apartments look nice, but so many and so close together, looks like you could almost hop from one balcony to another to go visiting. The water and pelican are a good photo.
I remember those apartment buildings well. Friends stayed in a front one on holidays. The views were fantastic..........ideal for whale watching with binoculars as they go up and then down the coastline. I think the road (from memory) up the hill is the road to Buderim. Now that is a place worth visiting on one of your northern winter trips. Colin

Can say I have never seen brown ones as yet only in photos
DeleteAustralian Pelican is a wonderful species. I am sure we will encounter it several times later this year.
ReplyDeleteI’m sure you will.
DeleteMuy buena la imagen del pelícano y muy interesantes las vistas del puerto deportivo.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Thank you
DeleteExcellent pelican portrait!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill. It posed :)
DeleteThat is a handsome Pelican - I hadn't realised before just how close their eyes are to their beaks.
ReplyDeleteTheir eyes are but also could be the angle
DeleteYou have featured a number of modern seaside apartments in your travels and I do think generally they look quite good. Lots of palm trees help.
ReplyDeleteI believe we associate palm trees with holidays
DeleteIt is the pelican which sings to me rather than the apartments. I have never lived in one, and doubt that I will.
ReplyDeleteJust had holidays in apartments so far, we don’t always take the caravan.
DeleteIt's a great vacation spot.
ReplyDeleteMany holiday makers there in winter.
Deletecool pelican
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice one, swan rather close which was good.
DeleteThat is a beautiful pelican.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan

ReplyDeleteThanks Lee. Was a little difficult as to which photo I should choose to post.

I suppose the apartments were built to get the best view of the sea..
