I've come across a colony of white Cans south of Tampa...but otherwise we see nothing but brown pelicans. From a distance they look bland, but up close, amazing how much color they don.Cheers
Can say I have never seen brown ones as yet only in photos
Australian Pelican is a wonderful species. I am sure we will encounter it several times later this year.
I’m sure you will.
Muy buena la imagen del pelícano y muy interesantes las vistas del puerto deportivo.Besos
Excellent pelican portrait!
Thanks Bill. It posed :)
That is a handsome Pelican - I hadn't realised before just how close their eyes are to their beaks.
Their eyes are but also could be the angle
You have featured a number of modern seaside apartments in your travels and I do think generally they look quite good. Lots of palm trees help.
I believe we associate palm trees with holidays
It is the pelican which sings to me rather than the apartments. I have never lived in one, and doubt that I will.
Just had holidays in apartments so far, we don’t always take the caravan.
It's a great vacation spot.
Many holiday makers there in winter.
It is a nice one, swan rather close which was good.
That is a beautiful pelican. All the best Jan
I love pelicans, and that's a beautiful photo of one. :)
Thanks Lee. Was a little difficult as to which photo I should choose to post.
The apartments look nice, but so many and so close together, looks like you could almost hop from one balcony to another to go visiting. The water and pelican are a good photo.
I suppose the apartments were built to get the best view of the sea..Thanks :)
Nice area and I still remember our get together there.
Lovely area. I still remember too, was lovely.
Bom dia, as fotos são maravilhosa, realço mais a do pelicano, foi um excelente momento muito bem captado. Feliz fim de semana, AG
I remember those apartment buildings well. Friends stayed in a front one on holidays. The views were fantastic..........ideal for whale watching with binoculars as they go up and then down the coastline. I think the road (from memory) up the hill is the road to Buderim. Now that is a place worth visiting on one of your northern winter trips.Colin
Yes you can get to Buderim that way Colin. We have been to Buderim..
Love the pelican.. few years back I saw two pelicans fighting over a fish.. :)
Did you, that I have never seen as yet.
Wonderful capture of the pelican!
Quite a big bird! Great photos!
Certainly a big bird, wouldn't like to tangle with it.
Heipsan Margaret.I love pelican, and the building in the last photo is lovely.
