The temperature at night was 4.6deg C in Hervey Bay with a top of 26 deg C somewhat cooler than we were used to in Winter 2017.
Seeing as we stop in Hervey Bay last year for awhile I deemed it not necessariy to take photos or show photos from last year we were there 2016.
Hervey Bay last year the link here, here and here for those who like to refresh memories.
Photos from here are on Hervey Bay are 'new' ones :)
We stayed in a different Caravan Park last year it was just about on the beach with a very short walk to the sea.
So at sunset I ventured those few steps to the beach, view in one way then the other.
The view from our caravan.
This picnic area was next door to the Caravan Park.
The view of the beach and the sea at sunset is wonderful. I love sea. Regards.

DeleteHervey Bay is or was a great favourite with returning "colonials" from PNG after Independence. I have no idea why this place was so favoured.

ReplyDeleteHard to believe for Australia having cold nights in Winter, some places in land have really cold nights in Winter.

There certainly is a big difference between the day and night temperature in the Winter time, some places more than other places.

DeleteWhen I was a kid annually the Railway Picnic was held at Hervey Bay. I grew up in Gympie (some would say "grew up" is debatable), and around 6 am on the Sunday morning of the Railway Picnic many folk from Gympie, excitedly boarded a train headed for Hervey Bay and said picnic.
ReplyDeleteI got to go one year. It was a fun day out.
An aunt, through marriage, lives in Hervey Bay...and her son lives at River Heads, which is a few minutes away. She's quite elderly now, but she lived at Happy Valley, on Fraser Island for nine years or so back in the late 70s-early 80s. My ex and I often visited her for a few days when we were living atboth Coolum and Sunshine Beach.
Can imagine those picnic were such fun, bet the place has changed from then to now. You certainly have lived in many places in Queensland Lee.
Deleteperfect for relaxation dear Margaret!
