The flowers that are in bloom in my garden right now. Daffodils, Helleborus, Camellias taken on different days. The header photo is Margaret Davis Camellia which is also in bloom. There will be more as the winter progresses and when spring arrives in September.

Dear Margaret,
ReplyDeleteYour springflowers looks amazing! The black helleborus is very beautiful.
I also love the black helleborus, I will have to get a pink one if I can.
DeleteMargaret, that camellia is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely one, Norma. Some years the dark pink is not as dark, this year it's good.
DeleteThe white one is my favourite, Margaret.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely August ☀️
Oh yes, I love white and it's a nice one and doing well, the first to flower this winter, Giorgio.
Deletebeautiful flowers, especially camellia, a wonderful plant, unfortunately it is not in my garden. I have to get it. I published on my blog calendars for garden work by season because I realized that it is not good to write texts about garden work by month because the seasons are arranged differently in different parts of the world, in your area it is winter now, and here in Southeast Europe it is summer, right? If you are interested, you can find links to these garden work calendars in the left column of the web version of my blog. Kind regards from Croatia, Jasna
ReplyDeleteYes you are right, winter here and summer over your way. Thank you for telling me about the links, I will visit them.
DeleteThat camellia is a beautiful one, there are so many that are beautiful, we have a hedge on the western side of our house planted with different camellias, some years they do well, other years not so good.
Dear Margaret, your flower photos are absolutely stunning! And I also love your blog header and background!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda.
DeleteSchöne Blüten sieht ja schon nach Frühling aus.
ReplyDeleteGruß
Noke
DeleteAnother month and a bit more to go for spring, looking forward to it though winter has been kind this year, Noke.
Thank you.
Buenas composiciones, con muy bellos colores.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ildefonso.
DeleteThe camellia blooms are so very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers they are, often put some in a saucer of water on the dining room table, Anglie.
DeleteGorgeous garden!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Getting a bit long in the tooth these days to do the gardening, so eldest comes and attends to what we two can't do twice a year so far.
DeleteBeautiful garden!
ReplyDeleteThank Bill, always love to see something in flower, I do.
DeleteSo pretty. The pink one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary, yes pretty they are.
DeleteBeautiful and colorful flowers. I especially loved the daffodils.
ReplyDeleteYour garden must be spectacular.
One of my favourite are daffodils, we used to have many different varieties in the past but over time many types have disappeared.
DeleteYour flowers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pamela.
DeleteThe camellias and daffodils keep their shapes beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThey sure do Hels. You can always count on them blooming.
DeleteI would love to do floral portraits again. They are pretty
ReplyDeleteThank you. I used to do floral portraits many years ago when we had our business.
DeleteBeautiful flowers on your post and a wonderful header photograph too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing such beauty.
All the best Jan
Jan, you are most welcome and I'm glad you like them.
DeleteLindo jardín. Me gustan tu flores. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteOMGosh, your garden is stunning. All of those gorgeous flowers make me smile. Have a nice day today.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nicole, I'm so pleased the flowers made you smile.
DeleteYour flowers are fabulous. Too hot up here for them. Well done to the gardener.
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane. I've known a cousin of mine who used to live in Darwin grow daffodils, she used to put them in a special vase in the dark with water and bingo at the right time they would flower.
DeleteI love your header, the prettiest "party" flowers ever! Daffodils should start popping up around my area soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks R. My daffodils as such have just started to come out, some areas they are already out and other to come out. Having said that, different varieties have been out for ages.
DeleteThey are quite lovely
ReplyDeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteYes my own garden. Yes in winter here the hellebores bloom and spring as well as you probably know that they bloom for a long time. It probably depends on the season and where they are planted in the garden.
DeleteBeautiful series of photos, Margaret.
ReplyDeleteI think the camellia is a beautiful flower, and beautifully photographed too.
I wish spring would start here, we are having a scorching hot summer this year. I am really done with the heat.
All the best, Irma
Thank you Irma. Your hot summer is supposed to come here but we wait and see. You keep cool and it won't be too long before it cools where you are.
DeleteYou are showing such magnificent, wonderful blossoms from your garden—they are a real joy to see! Have a lovely time in your blooming garden. Hugs, Elke
ReplyDeleteThank you Elkes, it's always good to go outside in the sun and look at the flowers that are blooming and how many more are coming out or getting ready to bloom.
DeleteLove seeing what’s flowering in your garden right now.
ReplyDeleteThe camellia is simply stunning.
Happy Monday, Margaret!
Thank you Veronica. Always good to go and see what is coming out next in the garden.
DeleteAs you head into spring it will only get better!
ReplyDeleteHopefully that is true, David.
DeleteHello Margaret,
ReplyDeleteWonderful all these pictures. Great flowers.
It looks very nice.
Many greetings,
Marco
Thank you Marco. I put my camera upside down to take some of the photos of the flowers and hope for the best.
DeleteThe garden looks beautiful; around here, they're quite dry and withered, or just dried out with this intense heat.
ReplyDeleteHappy August!
Best regards.
I can imagine, and no matter how much water you give the flowers or plants they still look stressed in the heat. Stay cool if you can and be safe.
DeleteVery beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne.
DeleteThank you. I really enjoyed your spring flowers in the muggy summer here.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Keep cool if you can. Cooler weather will arrive before you know it.
DeleteSo many pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteThank you Hena.
DeleteIt's wonderful to see your flowers Margaret, your garden must look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you Denise. Just a normal garden, nothing outstanding.
Thank you. Not all these plants grow in warmer areas.
DeleteMargaret que lindas flores amo demais, feliz quarta-feira bjs.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteCrunching into potato chips piled high on cold bologna brings pure nostalgia, matching those brilliant musical menu lists perfectly. Grabbing a classic hamburger provides ultimate satisfaction, making lunchtime an absolute joy. Beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteThanks re flowers Melody. Have no idea regarding the remainder of your comment...
DeleteGracias por compartir tu precioso jardín. Me encantan todas Margaret. Pero la Camelia es una maravilla.
ReplyDeleteBuen jueves.
Un abrazo.
Tus flores se ven preciosas Margaret, las de mi jardín se van terminando, demasiado calor. Besos.
ReplyDeleteLindas esculturas y lindo jardín, Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful things and plants for the garden—for someone like me who loves flowers, it’s like a trip to an amusement park!
